Abstract dog sculpture | Concrete diy project | Dog art | DIY
Summer holiday is a good time for DIY projects and this time I wanted to make a new concrete animal sculpture. After making some sketches on paper I decided that I will make a dog sculpture. My goal was to make something abstract in its shape and I worked quite a lot with ratios but I also took some shape inspiration from the Egyptian pharaoh hound.
The sculpture is 1,85 m tall, 1,38 m long but only 0,10 m thick/wide (that is 100 mm). I didn't go wider because a wider sculpture would require a lot more complex work to achieve a good look.

Keep it up buddy. As a guy who used to work in construction, cement and concrete have started to bore me a lott but watching your content sparks an inspirational fire in me.. i just need to work on my procrastination lol.
Procrastination is a common thing in people but from my personal experience I can say that when the time is right the build will come ;)

What is it called, the channel you used as a led mount, and does it comes with the diffuser?
It is called led strip profile. They come in all shapes and sizes and therefore they also have different covers.
Still doing this can use led tube light and attach to wood that's it same work and same lighting

I have seen both black and white melamine, but where can I find plywood with that (appears to be) rubber textured finish??
This is a regular brown color melamine birch plywood. There is no special coating. One side of the plywood is with a smooth surface and the other side is with a pattern which is called "wire mesh". It is marked as F/W plywood in the part of the world where I live and is used mostly in construction because it is the cheapest of the melamine covered plywoods.
I just found your RUclips channel through instructables, and I subscribed as well. I really like this project, and will be making it for my home, but being someone who suffers from attention deficit disorder, narration would be greatly appreciated. What material did you use to make your bench top with??? 6:45 If you paint your plywood before using the router on the edges, you'll get a cleaner line than any brand of tape can offer.
It is an option yes, but painting the plywood before using the router has a risk of damaging/scratching the paint surface. Also, this is a relatively smooth surface and I deliberately used thick paint to avoid the paint going under the tape problem.
