Hey just ran across your videos watching he'd a few, it has my attention!! I recently got my cdl back in May, started working for a company driving a gooseneck trailer, but this past Friday got fired, the thing is I'm a single dad, my kid is 6 yrs. Old and well I have to drop him off at school and pick him up at 6 pm from daycare, and sometimes that conflicted with my job so they let me go. I NEED TO WORK FOR MY SELF AND STILL BE A DAD. I don't have much support here is just me and my son. So this dumptruck thing really sounds like the thing !! I'm willing to sell my personal truck and do what ever to get my own dumptruck !! Obviously need some guidance.... I'm in San Antonio Texas

Great video, i have subscribed to your channel a month ago, and have been studying your blueprint ever since. I used to plow and salt in Boston years ago, however left going down south. I have recently obtained my Class B permit looking forward to taking my test coming back up North to aid and assist my Grandfather who has a couple of dump trucks left, having his own company with a big fleet back in the 70 and 80s. I want to help salvage the company and bring his company back to life. I don’t know how to go about it, however i am working on a plan considering he’s old fashion and I’m still new

I think one of the biggest factors is what type of financial resources you have available. A good preowned dump truck is probably in the neighborhood of $100k +/-. Insurance in the neighborhood of 10k, fuel, maintenance, registration fees, repairs, and waiting for payment . You’d be wise to have enough money to survive for 6 months with zero income to plan for a worst case scenario. Who’s got $200 grand to invest in a dump truck business? I’d still like to do it someday.

Do you have an idea why big dump truck companies buy more simple 18 vs super 18

End dump trailers don't exist in my area. Truck and pup or side dumps. End dump semis are slow, cumbersome and dangerous compared to a side dump.

Im gonna be moving to dallas next year but while i save up money to pay for at least a big chunk of the truck and downside money while i get traction in the business, i may work for someone to start. I already have 3 yrs doing transfer truck n trailer and end dumps. So im all about starting in the dump biz

1996 KW with a Detroit. Bought it in 2020. Detroit leaks oil regardless. I payed 45k and have put probably at least 25k in repairs over the last 4 years. I'm a one truck company owner/operator so I keep an eye on the truck. Arkansas asphalt subcontractor grossing over $500,000 total over last 4 years. I'm a 62 year old recovering drug addict loving my new responsible life nowadays. I mention this because if anyone has made bad choices in life and have trouble landing a good job Dumptruck owner/operator is an option. If you're new I suggest driving for someone for a year getting the feel for the business then take that leap of faith...Great video. Dumptrucks can be the sexiest vehicles on the road.

So my concern is I want to start a dump truck business but I have no experience but I’m learning thru your videos however is it wise to start the business with no experience because I can put in the work as far as finding work and trying to keep my truck busy but the only thing I don’t know is the controls inside the truck please help it’s a lot of things running thru my mind right now
