Oh I have wanted to go forever but well it does cost money ...
If you are going with a pilgrimage group, the cost is about $3000 or more from usa, but if you are going on your own, the most expensive is the flight ticket. You can easily find a room in a pansion (simple hotel but clean) with 25-35 euros/night. Fly to Split airport, take the airport shuttle to Split Bus Station (8 euros), and there is a bus at 5:30pm from Split Bus Station to Medjugorje (about 26 euros), but you want to check online for the winter bus schedule (they might not have bus everyday). The ride will take about a little over 3 hours. You can also arrange with the pansion/hotel owner for a pick up. The taxi will costs about 150 euros, but that will be a good price if you have several people.
