Very very loyal and doglike in their protection of their people. Mine will growl and lunge if someone unexpected comes in the door at night, but she backs off when she recognizes them. Called my brother over to kill an enormous spider once And he came over at 1130 at night and I thought Izzy was gonna attack him coming in the dark room off of the porch until she recognized him as safe. She always knows where everyone is and will cry if she can't get to me at night when I'm sleeping . Very intelligent cat. I can't imagine life without my best friend.

Norwegians make such mournful little meow sounds. Richard sounds just like our old Norwegian Forest cat, who looked a lot like him. We were always saying 'What's wrong?' to him! Such beautiful cats.

Thank you, Richard, for the video of your beautiful kitties! Because of your video, I discovered that my kitty, "Poof," is a mixed of Norwegian Forest Cat. She is three years old, petite 5 lb. gray & white. She looks just like your cat named "Richard." I got her at the local humane society. The previous owners named her "Poof!" Her tail & body is quite "poofy!" She is a gentle sweetheart, so affectionate, loves to cuddle. I noticed she has good-sized paws compared to my other tabby-calico cat who has little petite paws. Maybe Poof will still grow more? She's just a little doll. I had lost my orange cat in February. He was 19 1/2 years old. He was originally named Theodore by previous owner. He never came to that name, so I called him "Teddy." He liked that & I called him my "Teddy bear." He was so loving & easy-going! Thanks for such a nice video! 🥰😍❤

Norwegian white Forrest’s are such wonderful cats. I had one Mattie she would greet me at the door but she could also be mad if you didn’t say hi or they won’t talk to you and they’re very very self independent which is kind of nice they’re so chill and relaxed. Miss her so much! ❤

No barking, no whining, no jumping up and down and tail wagging.... oh that's right, only dogs do that when owners return.

Just adopted two senior cats ~ Pickles is a Norwegian Forest cat who's coming out of her shell. She's kind and so pretty. (The other is a Turkish Van. Had no idea until I took her to the vet.) 🩵🐈🐾✨️ I feel for her since she was only used for breeding and kept in a crate. Wish I'd had her - both of them! - since they were kittens. Thanking anyone for adopting vs. buying a cat. American shelters are overflowing. Blessings to all who are good to animals.
