Here in Australia, I have used one of these grinders several times daily for 10 years and continue to be pleased with its performance. I make my coffee with a plunger. I grind the beans with the setting half way between medium and fine. At this setting the machine grinds 40 grams of coffee in 15 seconds, as yours did when it was new. From this I surmise that there is something very wrong with your machine now. If it is still under warranty you could return it to Bodum and ask them to replace it.

That is helpful, although I would recommend a different tool than the sharp blade to separate the pieces.. Contacting Salmonella or E.Coli would be very remote. Eating raw pasta, like any batter, is not advised . Dried pasta is not going to result in an illness. Drying, freezing, boiling all kill bacteria. Getting batter residue out of the discs is a good idea.

This is very cool but there's a much bigger issue with the meat grinding attachment. I'll only say that there's a video on here that shows what gets into the head of the mixer. Not pleasant.

I could see having to pull my ultrasonic cleaner out for this job with dawn soap.

Something seriously wrong with that grinder! I have one I bought about 3 years ago. I grind 45 g once per day is all, so your use seems at least double what I do. That may indicate more significant wear and thus your EXCESSIVE time to grind. With my use, I have seen ZERO degradation in the time of my grind. On day 1 it took about 20 seconds to grind 45 grams and three years later that is unchanged. This is certainly not a high-end grinder, but I think for French press or pour-over coffee it is a good economical option. I would recommend unless you are a SERIOUS coffee connoisseur and super particular about your grind consistency and adjustability.

My LG is 1215TD, it has 2 motors (I guess one is for bubbling)... I replaced both after the OE (the originals do spin like the new one tho, with the click that you mention). However after the first try, it washed, but won't drain, and then the OE error. But if I look inside, there's no water (I think, will check tomorrow). Weird thing, but I'm no technician, so idk what else to do besides maybe connect the motors directly to 220v and test if they work

If your rear axl is original IT IS a positrack. The limited slip or open differential didnt come out until 1974? It was early mid 70s. Sweet truck bro.

The same grinder as sold in Australia carries model n° 10903-3 and seems to run faster and with a higher whine level than that in the video. We have 250 volts off the grid here and the Bodum is rated at 160W. I'm interested as to the current the US Model draws; mine is Swiss designed and made in the Netherlands.. perhaps adapting these to N. American use even involved a cheap workaround adaptation?

In Canada our eggs are salmonella free. (At least the likelihood is nearly zero)…I still clean the attachment thoroughly and this video is providing solid advice.

A type of anxiety, a nagging little worry, usually about something that may happen, would seem to bring them on. I could feel a tingling in the area and then, within ten hours, I would have one. You may think I’m crazy , but I learned how to stop, and think through whatever scenario until I was no longer anxious or worried. I haven’t had a canker sore in ten years. Use the things in this video, to help alleviate the pain and often recover faster. Great video!! But also , try to realize that you may not be able to fix something that hasn’t happened. Thanks for the video!!

Good to know. Raw dough with or without egg won't present much of a problem to health. This because bacteria need moisture to survive and unless you are using it pretty often the dough will become quite desiccated. Then there is the fact that you will be cooking the pasta you just made so that'll kill anything. The dough won't breed things like Botchulinum which is toxic no matter how dead and cooked it is. But this is good to know. I like my things clean.

That's why they clearly say do not wash remember you're using flour eggs and water it's the eggs you have to worry about in the flour that's why you can't wash the old fashioned steel pasta machines either they give you a little brush to brush all that gunk out it really won't hurt you but if you do wet it that's where bacteria starts growing inside those discs. I do the same thing with my discs once in awhile I open them up and give them a good cleanse. Otherwise it's a pretty good setup. So happy pasta making happy arrivederci
