great. I´m sure, it´s NOT Tibor and Gilbert Varga. Two voices absolutely the same colour, the same singing, the same vibrato - it´s the same violonist: Tibor Varga.

As a music undergraduate ,I had the life- changing good fortune to host him for 48 hours during his recital visit to North Wales Bangor University Arts Festival in 1964. All I can say ini summary , is that it was the most exquisite experience , both of before and since.

As a student host for his recital at Bangor University recital in 1964, I met this affable figure descend from his train at Bangor N Wales UK .Putting me immediately at ease with a big smile , he asked "Do " they speak Welsh here"?

Lorsque j'écoute Maître Tibor Varga, je me revois avec toute notre équipe des placeurs à l'église des Jésuites. Que de beaux souvenirs.

An exquisite work performed all to rarely. Varga's interpretation, tone, and technical precision are extraordinary--one of the great virtuosi of the twentieth or any other century! Too bad the end of the recording is truncated!

Maestro Varga is without a doubt one of the finest Violinists of all time! His playing is always sincere and personal

Very Germanic style of violin playing, not lyrical but metric and very disciplined, a great violinist but more for Bach than for Tchaikovsky.

Amazing how the music comes alive when there is more "air" in the phrasing. This is the finest interpretation of this work in my opinion

sir, you maybe an "amateur" but you clearly have a very good ear and feel for musicality. as you rightly point out mr varga is not as well known as many other (IMO lesser able) virtuosi but he possess a talent and skill that is truly sublime. you have highlighted where he shines as well - the bruch, lalo and tchaikovsky. shame there are not more recordings of his available

So few violinists have today or had in the past the technical ability to reveal such incredible passion. It's hard to say whether the technique is controlling the passion or the passion directing the technique. I love Varga's playing.

The human understanding has to grow to understand his thinking and lifestyle and performance. He was ahead of his time. Original. Unique.

Nobody can teach without playing to show to student!!Even a musicien like Tibor Varga!
