I guess I witness two of them: - when outdoors, I oughta find some way to direct some front lighting so I can be seen better - again when outdoors, the phone mic needs some sort of windscreen (at least the wind waited til I was almost done) Oh! @gurinder ::sigh::. Yeah. I know. I was monitoring my audio at a point before it hit the video gear. It is kind of embarrassing, true. But I wasn't going to re-shoot everything. As I indicated about twenty seconds into the vid ;)

@Claude. You're exactly right. I was monitoring the audio before being input to the video gear. I didn't realize my video ingest has bumped its audio in level back to its nominal -- (claimed +4dBu but with little headroom above that) -- level. Sometimes it remembers the lowered pad through power cycles, other times it does not. And I usually remember to recheck upon power cycle, but some times I do not. Which is why I butted in with the post production note at twenty seconds in with the explicit disclaimer that the audio was overdriven on capture. If I was to reshoot the whole thing, I probably wouldn't get to it for at least a week. I decided that going to publication with the flaw was the lesser of two bad situations. Sorry.

Hey Dale - thanks for the add! It ain't the original stuff we've been working on, but I did learn some in the process of putting it together.

@@JoeBearDotCom I've been doing the same thing. Transcribing cover tunes and recreating as closely as possible. It's a great way to learn and hone my skills.
