Placed semi pro at mlg Columbus 2016 for Gears of War 4

[WR] Halo 3: ODST SLASO Tayari Plaza 1:48
well this level was annoying, had to craft up a pressure launch set up for laso that was pretty consistent and use vypr's triple nade box launch to finally get the rekkie.
The best first split I've gotten with this triple nade set up was a 13 plus i didnt hit a slide at the end of the level so this could get to a 1:40 but I'm happy with just having the rekkie at least once.
I also got 2 levels left till have have the full odst laso sweep. kiko slaso and ptd claso. Hopefully i can get those soon :)

Lets go new coop wr with the boys, if everyone is down to play more i def think a sub 1:20:00 is possible since we are doing droute, endfight skip on data hive and coastal oob. Best possible time would probably be around 1:13:00 with no deaths but i wouldn't expect others to be that dedicated to this category but yeah a sub 1:20:00 is possible so keep an eye out for it hopefully

ok this record is never being broken, my deathless full game will be beaten before this. This level on slaso is just the absolute worst and you would have to be a psychopath to beat this time 😂 gg

Prepare to drop laso is officially tied with easy and there is def room to shave off 1 more second but it would just take a lot of grinding for everything to go perfectly and i dont care enough at the moment. That leaves only 3 more ils i want to improve/get 1st on

Lost sometime here and there and missed the catwalk cone launch but with the help of koma i got more consistent at end fight skip. I might honestly do 1 more push to lower the full game record after im done all the ils and coop stuff. The launch at the start can be faster and cleaner but the phantom with the ghost doesn't spawn if go too fast. Almost all my il's are getting to the point where im happy with the route and launches done. Still a few left to do but I"ll be proud of what I've done when i leave :)

i actually saw the nade coming towards me during the run and muscle memory almost kicked in to hit pause and restart 😂
@@Raw_SR I bet. It looked so close to the head. If I'd been doing that run (which I wouldn't because I'm too much a coward to do LASO co-op), I would've definitely done a restart.

Ouch, the friendly Phantom at the end cost you guys sub 19. That Phantom is a bit strange sometimes... Oh well, still a nice world record. Congrats!
thanks for the grats, yeah it strange. I have no idea what causes the delay on the friendly phantom but my solo il killed the final enemy about about the same time as this run but it came in like 15 seconds faster 🤔

Man you have to hit the spartan laser and turret combo at the end. You'd shave off 10 seconds. I quit speedrunning Halo because of this level lol. So I agree this level sucks so much.. I don't know how many marines have killed me with a turret lolol. The combo at the end is pretty accurate though and is a 3 out of 5 chance to work (I think Phil posted a tutorial) But you could optimize so much. I knew a 6min30sec is possible. Congrats on new PB and you got it bro!
Yeah the ending probably lost like 20 seconds cause it is possible to basically frame perfect kill the phantom and no brutes drop and you don’t softlock but i didnt want to figure that out . Grinding attempts where i softlock at the end of the level would have drove me mad 😂. If someone bops this tho ill have to come back and learn it but for now im happy to never play this level again.

appreciate it man, seen your halo 3 run awhile back and was part of my inspo along with the moist challenge. Laso isn't for the faint of heart 😅
What's the purpose of "street smart"?
@@PSYCHOPATH_AT_LARGE yeah essentially. Mixing things up and having a bit of fun with the game. The most competitive categories are the full game runs but a WR paced run is like an hour to an hour and a half not including reset and stuff so you have to have a good amount of free time to even get runs in that day. These smaller playlists or individual level records are just shorter and fun to do from time to time
IMPORTANT FOR THE LASO ACHIEVEMENT PEOPLE I forgot to mention that if you are just going for the achievement that you can abuse a glitch in which when you die in a level if you instantly pause the game and save and quit then load back into the playlist from the main menu you will actually resume at the last checkpoint you got in the level. So basically you can completely negate the iron skull. This strat is not allow in official speedrun runs so i forgot to mention it but it can be very useful for the achievement peeps. Also the mod that I am using for checkpoints and stuff like that is a tool used for speedrun practice. The mod disables achievements so you cant use the same mod to get any achievements but it just helps me more quickly show multiple strats for levels and stuff. Anyways that is all :)
