GenX always making excuses and whining, except my GenX kids who have benefited from going to college and appreciate their parents hard work and overtime two job system. They understood we were overworking to give them a better life and to leave them something when we’ve gone. And GenX actually think they invented outdoor play and roaming the neighborhood alone when every generation before them experienced the same thing but without MTV and VCRs. They act as if that was a tough life. Boomers marched and helped fight for Civil And Equal Rights lived through segregation and first to integrate schools as little kids and integrated businesses taking the hard knocks and taking in your face racism yet for some reason out of nowhere GenX wants to act like they had it harder than any generations. By the time GenX entered schools they were pretty much all integrated and the draft had ended. The late 70s, 80s and early 90s were the most peaceful years in America. I do believe that GenX is a tougher more grounded generation than the generations that follow them but in no way did they have a tougher life than any generation before them.

Even with $400K in school loans, that sounds like a good gig. If I were younger, I'd go to medical school. Seeing blood, tissue and ppl hurting stopped me. But maybe you don't see a lot of that as a urologist.

I was at St. John on Moross in Detroit for my residency, before the staffing company got its hooks in. There are good people there, I really hope they find a safe and amicable balance. Unfortunately the corporate overlords are never going to stop until they run the whole show. I'm transitioning to independent contractor for now while I still can.
