Hi, glad I found this video. I've just bought a 2008 k8 and am dissapointed by the lack of pull below 3k, so much so that earlier today I'd booked her in at a tuning garage to have a look see. It sounds like you've already sorted the issue with a power commander unit. Can I ask how involved is it to introduce the power commander? I'm ok with multi carbs but no experiencectinkering with FI systems. Thanks in anticipation. Steve

Just bought 2005. Absolutely amazing bike, underrated imo. The only gripe i have is like with all bikes, suspension adjustment doesn't have enough range, rear even in tje softest setting is too much damping to be really comfortable. And lack of any damping adjustment in the front is absolutely unacceptable in bike of this caliber imo. Amazing engine, imo better than lc8, amazing sound stock exhaust, very comfortable seat, great wind protection with deflector, you can go 120 and it feels like 70 on dual sports likr ktm640 ; Oh and also theu missed the mark ny not adding abs which is real shame ;

so basically 5 x 2mm spacers behind the rear ( or front if CV0nn is correct) sprocket and job done. No need for importing a 2mm thick disc at $$$. Have I missed something?

Got a new one last year hated it..sold it and have a low mileage 08 being delivered mid week..loved the old one I also had the klv.wish I never got rid..new one is no where near as good ...in my mind..

Oh, I got one of those on my L8 :-) Anyway, no missed gear-changes after fitting. I can also feel the gear change ever so slightly tighten on 5th & 6th in Summer.

Why oh why do people say the horrendous words DE TUNED !!!!!

Seems like cymarc has got this the wrong way around. The misalignment is said to be 2mm outwards, so the sprocket carrier has to be moved inside by 2mm. This product does the opposite. Surprised you liked the results.

Had over 120 bikes and got a 2006 strom, added fork brace, ktech fork springs, power commander fuel controller, black widow slip on exhuaust left stock air filter on it and amazing, does dirt tracks fantastic and well and trully planted on the road since adding the fork brace and Bar brace... also dropped the forks by 10mm

Three years ago I did a modification of the clutch basket and I have to say that is big improvement. Now I ordered after your video Cymark gearchange and hope will be even little bit better. Thanks

im looking at getting a 2007 with 45k miles, its a smoking deal, but im wondering if the bike will have a ton of issues or not? thanks!

Hi Mate. I've got a 2008 with 18000 miles on the clocks. Had it 7 years now and love it. Has aftermarket exhausts, power commander, MRA screen etc. Just had a full service and had the valve clearances checked but didn't need adjusting, but it did need the head race bearings replacing. I've just bought the replacement mirrors but not fitted them yet. I found that changing the sprockets and chain for a really good quality set helped smooth out the gear change a lot.

i'm in california, i have a 2009 dl 1000 with 40 kilometers on it. it has the well known chudder at low rpm revs. People say its the clutch basket design. Do you know about this issue? What does this gear change enhancer do exactly...?
