All about physical preparation and rehabilitation.
I'm a physiotherapist, gymnast and alpinist. I graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2023. In 2025 I earned a Master's degree in Hand Rehabilitation from the University of Statale di Milano. I’m specialized in orthopedic and hand rehabilitation.
As a gymnast I was trained by Olympic champion Igor Cassina and Olympian Alberto Busnari. I'm specialized in still rings and pommel horse. I won the bronze medal in pommel horse at the 2019 Italian Junior Championship. I have participated in the Italian Serie A1, A2, B, and C championships and in numerous editions of the "Coppa dei Campioni".
As an alpinist I have experience in high-altitude climbs and alpine routes.
Main alpine routes: Cima Campelli-Canale dei Camosci PD-, Punta Giordani 4046 F+, Rocca di Baiedo-Via Solitudine VII.

How long do you spend preparing your shoulder ?
@Lou-ls5se the specific warm up usually last 15 minutes, and sometimes I did also few prehab exercises (rotator cuff, stability...).

How Did You get there? How do Tou train Your connective tissue and how often?
@@orbanbotond progressive load, but I started since day 0 with high load because of transfer from still rings and bodyweight skills. I don't train weighted dips very often, usually no more than 4 times per month.

@simonepozzoni whoops. I wrote the wrong number. I must not have been concentrating at the time when I wrote it or. Read the percentage as the weight instead. 105.5 kgs is a massive amount anyway. I will be studying how you train soon enough

Love the content bro, How do you approach diet and nutrition?
@@mrdodgewilson8376 I follow a classic "athlete" dietary regime. I try to maintain a sufficient protein intake and try to avoid high processed food. I take few supplements, but for gymnasts (and strenght sport athletes) there is a strong evidence of efficacy only for creatine and beta-alanine as written in my book.

@@Idontknow-b4y I don't train it very often. I think I will return to train it maybe next summer.
Do you think that weighted dips and handstand push-ups can be used as a good conditioning for advanced elements such as planche and iron cross?
@@Idontknow-b4y Absolutely yes. In the book "Against gravity" I often suggest to use HSPU and dips as complementary exercises for cross or planche.

What is your height? And what should be good height for a gymnast of static rings
I'm 173cm. In my book "Against gravity" there is a chapter about height/weight and body composition in still rings specialists. However usually still rings specialists are 165cm more or less.

@@simonepozzoni Do you use any Olympic lifts in your training?
@@neocloudmarts9613 No, Olympic lifts are too technical and specifics. On my book "Against gravity" you can find the lifts which are more useful for gymnastics/calisthenics training!!! Generally speaking i think military press, squat with high intensity and low volume, weighted dips and pull ups are more useful than Olympic lifts.
Can you do baladin (butterfly to Maltese, planche or inverted cross)
I'm training the Balandin but it's not my goal at the moment.
