Hi! Do you know if you can still drive and park close to the Arbol De Dios or has it been closed and blocked from Development ?
Hi, I'm sorry to say I do not know for sure. But walking from the fisherman village is a great option
Were you able to hire a guide at the park, or how did that work out?
We met a guy by Lake Flores the day before and he recommended our guide to us. But right outside the park before you go in are a few companies offering guides and I do recommend going with one because the site is huge and so much would be left unseen without expert eyes. Happy to help with any other or further questions and hope that was helpful.
This is a problem that's happening around the world and even in America period our borders are flooded with foreigners that come in and get free Handouts from the government and people that live here can't get help in catastrophes that have been here for Generations Period Jobs are taken that should belong to people that legally live here not those that Don't and are now allowed to vote and have a say but yet they're way of life is completely different period I understand how you feel but this is happening across the world in every country And We all have to make adjustments and have to adapt to what's happening Period it's the leaders that should have been Overseeing what's correct but every leader seems to be corrupt no matter what country
Hi. I'm heading to Costa Rica the first week of November 2024. How's the weather? Should I be worried?
Please don’t move to Costa Rica. Gentrification is severely impacting our economy and environment. After hundreds of thousands of foreigners arrived and gentrified provinces like Guanacaste, they are now starting to gentrify other provinces. We Costa Ricans can no longer cope with this; we are losing everything. Those of us who used to live on the coasts had to leave our homes because rent and food prices rose so much that we could no longer afford them. Our salaries are around $800 USD per month; we can’t keep paying gentrification prices
Así vurifor
thanks, that was great
Thank you!!!
Thanks I’m planning a trip in July so this is helpful to know I was almost afraid that I should cancel the trip because of the rain but this calms my nerves lol
Beautiful video
Thank you very much!
Terrific video, well produced and informative! Thanks. Don
Thanks so much, Don! We appreciate you being here. Cheers!
Nice video thanks for sharing it! Salu2!

looks fun i been going to Roatan for the last 14 years i have yet to make it over
If you like a more small town vibe I bet you'll love it
@@SaltTravelCo oh yeah i am sure i will , that's the reason we choose Roatan, but now its become very popular.
Great video but can a person travel with pets on either the bus or the plane there ?
Gracias por visitar Guatemala
Love love TAMBOR!!
I was there about 2005, Monteverde is my coolest place to visit in the world. When I was there Arenal was bursting fireworks every night and there were heated rivers that were like hot tubs.
Do all the places around there take credit cards?
I set a trip from September 10th to 24th but I’ve been hearing it’s the rainy season. My big thing is i don’t mind the rain but if all the businesses are closed as are the restaurants and adventure companies then I don’t think it’s. Worth it
Depending on where you go in the country that may or may not be the case, but there is always some places open. It looks like you've already gone on your trip? I hope it was wonderful!
Awesome review. I’ll be in this area in 5 weeks for my 50th birthday trip. Can’t wait
I’ve lived here from Canada for 24 years and you are spot on about everything! Especially about the critters that we live with. Empty plastic peanut butter jars are excellent for catching and releasing scorpions and spiders. And yes everything gets moldy and mildewed. Don’t even think about leather, rubber, or printed photos. Good video❤
Love that idea for criter catch and release! Thank you for your lovely comment! Cheers
I moved to CostaRica 18 months ago, but I don’t live at the beach. In fact I’m the only gringo in my town. I live at 7500 feet of elevation and can almost see both coastlines. The weather happens every 3 minutes. The rainy season, which is now, is very wet! Every week 3-5 days of 30-50 mph winds and gallons of rain. In Florida it would be considered tropical storm with no schools and businesses closed and boarded up. It’s normal here. The people and the food are the best part of my community and I’m glad to be here!
Thank you so much for being so honest! This is the most helpful and direct video I've found so far on this subject!
Amazing! So, so very glad it was helpful! Thank you!
Thank you for very informative video. Any recommendations on places to stay at the Caribbean side
Very useful information! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Very helpful! Thank you, I have more peace about my trip in August.
Award winning schools? I'm not saying I don't believe you, but that's the first I've heard that phrase. I'm aware of La Paz and CRIA as good international schools in the vicinity, but what awards are talking about exactly? Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
This video was so helpful! Did you have to get your health certificate translated to Spanish? I am in process of getting our 3 pets certified so we can move to Costa Rica.
First timer going in August, scuba diving is something I've dreamt of doing. Do I have to be certified when I get there or do they teach you. TIA
Thank you so much for information! My gf and i booked a trip in August. Do you think we will have a good time? Im just worried about the rain.
What city did you book? I’m debating going in August as well
@@bluuegirl4 just bought the plane tickets for now. we have 9 nights there so we are planning on renting a car a going places. I read that guanacaste is the driest region with an 80 chance of seeing the sun at any given day. So if its raining all over the place will just go there. it says that rain season shouldnt discourage you from going cause the worst time to go is september and october and definitely not august
Hi! This video is very helpful. What exactly is the health certificate? Also did you have to do this certificate: APHIS 7001 (Where you have to send it to Sacramento for stamping)? Getting somewhat confused about this, so any info would be helpful. Thanks!
I am going on a trip 6-15 of November, do you think it will be super rainy in the Manuel Antonio area? I’m really nervous it might be stormy the whole time and we won’t get to relax on the beach.
Pacific side is much better. This area is well known for drug smuggling and violence Beware!

Could you tell me how to find a good online job before I move to Costa Rica? I plan on going but I know I cannot work in Costa Rica unless I have a work visa.
Oh my goodness, yes, I wish I had more experience on that front, hopefully you've found a great remote job now :)
Support the park otherwise it will be sold for development. It will become another mall with plants.
Thank you for the valuable information and I love your humor.
Oh! That makes me smile, thank you, thank you!
Thank you for the video but the 4th thing on the list that rhyme with Rug is going to keep me from going. It is nice you don't see to fear them, but I do. It is enough to cross costa rica off my list. I have never see anything you described in my home in my entire life.
Oh no!!! That's too bad, I am sorry that it had that effect on you. I can certainly understand, but I hope someday you get to go and see it's not so bad. Of course, I'm terrified of needles and I know no one is talking me out of that haha
I’m going to Tambor beach to check out a property and see if it’s what I want. This video helps a lot and will be making sure I’m aware of all these points will deciding if this is the area I want to be in. Thank you.
Fantastic! We lived near Tambor for a few years and really enjoyed it. Best wishes!
How is end of May beginning of June
Prices for rent in the area?
Very informative as I research a future vacation. Much appreciated.
Do you have any hotel recommendations?
hi! i’m confused about your 5:53 comment - is La Fortuna/Arenal (sunny 80s) considered caribbean? Always figured that was pacific weather. It’s where I want to do my bday but nervous for early/mid Sept
going next month, super helpful, thank you!
Wonderful! Happy to add any info I can if you have any questions. It’s such a lovely place 💗
How is it in the Guancaste region in mid / late May?
Hi, that is the beginning of rainy season but that means a few showers NOT many :) enjoy!
Adding Utila to my travel wish list! Thanks!
Sarah Elena knows better than these folks. She’s been here 9 years and helps Expats for a living.
Thanks! I’ve lived there for 15 years and my husband all of his life
Thank you for all your information. I have not heard any of these tips from all the Costa Rica videos.
Wonderful! That was my hope. Thank you!!!
