Rainy Day Inspiration on M SPACE LOG - Ideas & Things to do
Can I use this on my PC ?
O
i added 2 voice when 1 ended it created a sound and when 2 started it created a sound? how to solve that
I'm not sure if I understand it right, but if your voices are making a weird sound at the end or beginning, you may trim them or fade.
good video, i bought this mic combo last night and have been binge-watching a multitude of RUclips videos about it, most are generic disguised sales pitches, yours is an honest review , highlighting the benefits and drawbacks, keep up the great work
I love how you added bloopers at the end
I like to share those disgraceful moments 😉
Thanks for the video! I'm looking at getting a mic.
Did you buy the Hollyland Lark M2 wireless mic with your own money or was your video sponsored?
My own money. When I'm sponsored, I'll let you know at the beginning of the video and also the warning that this video has paid promotions show up. But, this one was paid by me as most of the gear I bring or talk about in this channel. But, even when I bring some product, sponsored by any brand, one of my terms is that I will give my honest opinion, whether it is good or bad. Then, if the brand accepts it, I'll do the review. If they don't, then I'll skip it. Not only do I want to be completely honest, but as also I do seek true reviews, when I search for myself, I want to be able to provide the same value for the viewers of this channel. Hope this clarifies. Cheers.
Thanks for the information
Keep sharing 🎉. New subbie here
It is comments like this that keep me going forward with this channel. RUclips is quite hard, but when we get comments like this, it is worth more than anything. Thank you 💙
thank you for information
if you lost audio because you forgot to start record on a camera, that's not a "con" on a mic, that's your mistake
That's a mistake, for sure, but if you can have a mic that can save your mistakes, that's a pro for me 😉 But, either way, what I was referring was something that happened with my video recording app that was showing it was recording audio but wasn't. So, if the Lark M2 had that function, I didn't had to record my whole video again. In this case, having less is not more 😉
@@MSPACELOG it also doesn't allow directly connecting to bluetooth devices, so what? a con is bad audio quality, or poor connectivity, or poor battery life - something that it already HAS not something you WISH it had while keeping the same price.
@jimc9516 points of view mate 😉
Looking for a 3 in 1 cable; Need it for charging the battery of my cellphone, and to connect a USB Dongle Dac (needs energy), I have looked everywhere and I just saw one expensive cable; It is the USB cable from "AUDIRECT TEAM 1 DAC" but is almost $40 dlls. Ive been looking in reddit forums, in facebook groups, youtbe, and I cant find a single cheap USB or OTG cable that I can charge my cellphone and listen to music at the same time from a dongle dac (like epz tp20, onix alpha, fiio ka13, cayin ru7, etc)
Everyone has different use case scenarios, but for me and many others NO. This dolly is over priced. I had one and it use to cost $35-40 USD.
Hi. Definitely. I agree with you in a sense that it is overpriced, but depending on the brand, you can still find some around 45$ on Aliexpress. Mine, at the time, was around that price. Now everything is a lot more expensive due to taxes and inflation. Even though I use a regular one, not motorized, for more practical shots, sometimes, filming myself alone, this one comes in handy. I can even put some pvcc tubes below it, and it serves as a dolly slider over trails. Depends on user cases. Here it is a link for an affordable one: pt.buy2fix.store/products/yelangu-l3-camera-wheels-autodolly-electric-track-slider-car-load-6kg-blue?variant=43530764026103&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAouG5BhDBARIsAOc08RTNGNfMhfnTgwVUczzShRlYxSDDNvtdw0txBvRYKeZT0FYYfwKmUgEaAuU9EALw_wcB&shpxid=c6c8b4ab-f99b-4cce-b56b-ef66337702a9
How does this stack up to the new rode wireless micro that is soon to be released? Did you get a preview perhaps because they compete in a similar price range
I didn't know Rode had released a new mic. Didn't got the change to get more from it, but from what I read about, it's similar to the Hollyland Lark M2, but for me has a big disadvantage: it's normal size (like everyone else's mics). Couldn't confirm if we can attach a lav mic, too. Even so, it is still one more piece to attach. What I most like about Hollyland is its simplicity of use and, at the same time, the fact of it being so discrete on my shirt. All the others, unless you use a lav mic, are quite big for my taste. But if you don't mind with that, Rode is an excellent brand and, certainly, you will be very well served.
@MSPACELOG hmm it's hard to say I think before I pull the trigger I will wait for reviews on the rode wireless micro if it turns out that many people still prefer the Hollyland I will buy that immediately
@@MSPACELOG what do you think about the boyalink?
That is a good decision 😉
Never used that one. But I started with a lav M1 from Boya, and I recorded a lot with it. Even though it is cheap it as much better sound quality that some pricier and reputable brands are out there. So, if it is the same quality as the older ones, it could be a very good budget alternative for someone who is starting. But if I were to buy something more future proof, I would save for something better.
Finally, great review! I learned all cons you mentioned from other videos but they were not poining them that this explicitly so it is more liek reading between lines. Big disapointments for me are lacking of separate channel recording and missing option to use external lavalier mic. I am stil undecided. If they release M3 version with just those two options added that would be ideal for me, and I expect it would not cost much more as price for me is limiting factor as I am not making money from making videos.
Thank you. Yeah, for me, the two channels' options not being available for smartphones is a bummer. But keep in mind that this only happens with smartphones. If you're using a camera and the camera receiver, this doesn't happen. But as I film all my content with smartphones, that's an issue if I want to record an interview. Even so, the simplicity of use and awesome sound quality for the price won me over. If DJI Mic2 was the same price or even a bit more expensive, I would defigo with that one, but as it costs more than the double and as I don't do so many interviews, I decided to start with this and I'm using it in all my videos. I'm quite happy with it. In the future, and as I need, I'll upgrade to a better or, or perhaps an improved version with the missing features. Right now, the most important one, for me, is the internal recording. Really miss this one as a safety measure. Either way, glad you liked it.
What actually annoys me is that if you want to record on PC using USB (whici is much btter than going analogue, as ther is no chance for cables to pick up some noise) you cannot get channel separation. However, as you can get combo with two or three receivers, I guess if you manage to connect two to PC via USB and assign each to one microphone, then you can record two separate channels.
Never tried that. But it might work. Got to try it. One thing I also didn't test it was using the camera receiver with the TRS cable on my laptop. It should record with two separated audio tracks (at least it's what I think it works).
@@MSPACELOG TRRS connector contains pins for ground, left and right output and only one (mono) mic input. I am not sure that sound interfaces are intelligent enough to recognize if stereo mic is connected to change TRRS pins functions. Even when sound interface has separate TRS input for microphone, it still does not guarantee it is actually stereo input.
Any reservations about the magnet being strong enough? I plan to use it while walking around outdoors, but also when it’s cold may need to use a light jacket, would it hold through a sweater or jacket?
Hi. The magnets seem quite strong. I already used it over some thicker shirts, and it handles quite well. But there are also clamps you can use with the transmiters too. So, there are always ways around. But I'll try to put it over a thick jacket and do a quick run to see if it falls and let you know 😉
@ thank you!
New subscriber here, thank you Mario. We will try flippaclip for our channel.
Hi, which are the more reliable (and expensive) options of mics for interviews that can be plugged into a mobile phone type C?
Hi. Even though I didn't try them, for interviews and everything else, I would go with DJI Mic 2 or, in second place, Rhode Wireless Pro.
Acabei de encontrar este vídeo, nem estava a procura mas agora que vi precisava. Deixou-me muito contente ao ver um canal português com conteúdo bastante educativo a projetar-se com linguagem universal. Parabéns, keep it up.
Obrigado. Fico feliz por ter ajudado.
Adorei 😊😊😊
My hands have essential tremors (diagnosed). All of the footage I take with this is shaky. I thought it would be a solution but it’s not for me.
I'm sorry to hear that. Gimbals are made to soften the shaking from walking or even running. Even so, you only get the best results by moving slowly with fluid movement. Even up and down movements are hard to pass by. So, tremors are a problem. Hope your condition improves over time. Take care.

How's it for recording a live concert?
Hi. I never used it for that purpose. But I guess, between using your smartphone mic and using this one instead, that you will get better sound quality overall. But keep in mind that this is an omnidireccional mic, which means that it will pick up sound coming from all directions. For concerts, even though I'm not an expert in the area, you would want mics with a Cardioid or Lobar polar pattern because you can pinpoint them directly to the concert and the mic will pick up mostly that sound while ignoring the side and back sounds from the crowd. But that means other types of mics, not this type for vlogging or youtube recording. Hope that helps.
@@MSPACELOG Thank You
I bought it a few days ago. But it catches a lot of noise when Noise cancellation is not activated. But in many review videos, like yours, I find using it without enc is on. Is there any trick for that?
Hi. I never use noise cancelation because it is settled in the recording, and then if the noise reduction is noticeable, I can't do anything to the sound in post. O rather do noise treatment and sound treatment myself in post. Either way, the sound you are earing is directly from the mic with no treatment at all (except normalization). All I do is to position the mic and adjust the levels of the mic using the Hollyland app (because I'm using the phone receiver). If you're using the camera receiver, you can adjust the levels directly. I set to the lowest value so it doesn't pick up too much ambient noise.
@MSPACELOG thanks dear. ❤️
Excelente!!! Obrigado!
You forgot Gamers
How did I forget them?
Do you think it can track a basketball during a game? I currently use camera glasses because I am useless behind a camcorder. I follow the game and don't turn the cameras. The glasses work well but there is an issue with quality. They stop working pretty quickly. I am looking for an AI assist to record their games. I will have 4 playing starting this Dec. I thought about a Go Pro. I am looking to experiment.
Well... Using the AI tracker in a basketball game might be tricky. The AI sensor is thought for one person only. Multiple figures in front of the AI sensor and it might lose tracking. I think the best way here is always a handheld approach with the gimbal in sports mode that provides a faster response. Unfortunately, I don't know any glasses that make good quality cameras built in. Why don't you try replicate your head movements to your hands while holding the gimbal? First, frame your subject and then just watch the game while keeping in mind that you must translate your head movements to your hands. As long as the composition remains the same, you should be tracking the subject easily smoothly. That's one approach.
Excellent video. Thanks for the guidance.
I'm glad it was helpful 😉

Hi Mario. I have created a who movie on CapCut and now the sound and video keep pausing and sometimes it skips parts. What should I do? I have no idea of how to fix this problem before my release on Sept 29th
Hi. I stopped using CapCut not only because, although it is good for some basic/intermediate editing, it has some problems with more advanced videos and also, nowadays almost every function is for pro subscription only. That's why I switched to DaVinci Resolve. But about your video, I remember that something similar happened to me when I edited long videos and with a lot of text, effects, etc. What I did was try to export it, video layer by video layer, and the same for the sound. Also, try to disable some effects, where the video jumps or loses the sound. Sometimes, there is some incompatibility between effects or too many effects, cuts, sounds, and all together. If I were you, I would start thinking about jumping on some more reliable vand powerful video editing software. Hope it helps somehow, and best wishes for your vide9 recovery.
Will the ugreen dac adaptors wirk on samsung s24 ultra?
Hi. I don't see any reason why they shouldn't.
I just bought the Ugreen and it doesn't work on my Note 10. When I connect to my phone, a message appears saying This USB device is not compatible. I saw many tutorial but I can't solve that problem
That's a bummer. Unfortunately, I don't have a Note 10 to try it out on my different adapters. Could you have bought a defective piece? It's kinda weird it doesn't work. Every smartphone that lacks a 3.5mm jack and has only a USB-C instead should, theoretically, work with these adapters.
Very nice key light, tough I had an issue with it after 2 weeks, it died. Neewer responded, they will replace it with a new model that doesn't have that manufacture problem. I will get my replacement this week.
Hope the same doesn't happen with mine, but for now, I'm really happy with it.
This turned out to be the perfect video for me, since I've been trying do decide between Ugreen and Conexant, and this is the only review I've come across that actually tests the mic input (ADC). I already knew the Conexant (specifically the CX31993 chip) is a good DAC, but not how its ADC is. Apparently also good. 🙂 Thanks a bunch! 👍
I'm really glad it helped you. Thank you.
I actually bought CX31993 and i have weird growing echo with phone calls, but maybe its because i have phone with already audio jack builit-in and some Dolby Atmos app(Motorola phone)
@dev1anceONE that's probably the reason. On my S22 Ultra, that doesn't happen.
Thanks for this review. I have a question, I bought the same one, but I don’t know how to pull the light stand down to be vertical so I can mount it to the light stand 😢
I don't know if I got your question right, but have you tried to mount it in vertical mode? As it is presented in this photo? u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZXpFU0Z1fA1ObX9qx08Nsk5Y6elvJmYPiEk
On which one UHQ Upscaler function work?
I haven't tried yet to activate that function when I'm using the adapter on my Samsung S22 Ultra. But I'll test them out, and then I'll let you know.
@@MSPACELOG Thanks bro if u do that, im really need to know in which one UHQ upscaler works). I think in Ugreen ones have this function
Hi. I tested all 3 of the UGREEN ones, and all of them allowed me to switch on UHQ function on my Galaxy S22 Ultra, and I could actually notice the sound getting a jump of brightness, I don't know if I made myself clear. But all of the 3 worked great. I just didn't test the conexant one because I dontknow where I stored it. But I guess it should work exactly as the Ugreen ones.
@@MSPACELOG Oh biggest thanks to u bro, because im need to buy that one that supports UHQ Upscalerfunction 😃.
What sefie stick did you use? If I buy from scratch, which would you recommend?
Hi. I've used one from the brand Minifocus. They make some very good and affordable gear. Here is the link for the one I've bought: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EHjVcxr About the gimbal pack, I would choose the Pro pack. As the AI tracker is a must, and to have this, you will have to opt for the Combo or Pro pack, then, as the Combo doesn't have the travel case, I would go to the Pro. But that's me that I like to store the gimbal in its case for convenience of travel. If you have your own case or don't mind carrying it in a backpack without its own case, it's fine to save a few bucks and go along with the Combo pack instead.
I still am not getting this. Needs more detail. Thanks though.
Do you still get sound sync issues on CapCut?
@@MSPACELOG Yes. I am ready to let CapCut go.
@steph5494 Currently, I'm using DaVinci Resolve Studio, and it was the best change I've made. It's not a super easy learning curve but a power house.
@@MSPACELOG I believe that. I love it. CapCut is suspect.
is this working without app?
If I remember correctly, you only need the app for the gimbal activation. Everything else, you can do without it.
What do you think about m6 vs insta 360 pro which one i should buy
I'm assuming you're talking about Insta Flow 360 Pro. That one is good for traveling as it is compact and fots in your pocket. Like I said in my video, if you're looking for a compact gimbal, easy to go and flow, and not planning a more professional approach, then the M6 isn't the gimbal for you. But, for me, the M6 is still the best gimbal around. The Insta Flow 360 and 360 Pro has a very nice approach for tracking, but even so, it is far away from the AI Tracking device in the M6 and one of the biggest reasons why is it's brand independent. If you look closer, you can only take more or less the same advantage of tracking on Insta as the M6, with any video app, if you're in iPhone. Android users are left out. Besides that, the M6 AI tracking device still works better. On the M6, you can use any phone you want as any app you want and still track yourself with no problems. Besides that, I don't really trust or like magnetic clamps. Also, the weight that Insta 360 supports is far less than the beast of the M6 can handle. Again, Insta is good for on the go fast shooting and portability. But if you want something for all kinds of purposes, it would be the M6 or the MT2 if you're planning also with cameras. Hope it helps.
hi there. nice review. Do you think the hohem m6 can handle an actioncam mounted on an adaptor?
Thank you. For that, I would use the Hohem MT2 just because you can use any adapter you want. The M6 is for smartphones only because its adapter is fixed. It may fit action cams, but it would be better if you could try it with some borrowed unit first.
Have they fixed the locking gimbal that fails?
Do you mean the lack of locking mechanism for the tilt axis that I referred in the video?
@@MSPACELOG no the lock at the base at the top of main handle of gimbal
My unit doesn't have that problem but as it look like a hardware problem, only new batches that may come out that could havve that problem solved. Old units that the lock loses its integrity are never going to return to normal. If it is still in warranty, try to send it to repair or change for a new one.
Espetacular.
Bravo
Great video, i enjoyed it, I wish there was more sample footage
Thank you. I just did the intro using as a sample of what it is possible to achieve with those. Technically, you can achieve the same using the optical lens 3x, 5x, or 10x from your smartphone l, but those lose quality and struggle even more in poor light conditions. That's why I prefer using some external lens with the main camera instead. The rest of the video, as all my videos, are filmed with my 2x telephoto lens. Soon, I'll be making a review of a smoke machine, where I use an Anamorphic lens... keep tunning in, and you will see another great example of the achievable things you can do with external lenses.
