They weren’t the biggest band in the world because they didn’t have the look. They would have been big in the 80’s and early 90’s. They were victims of changing trends and corporate demands. To me this song is about watching other people make it to the top, while it seems you are on the sidelines. Very difficult to live life when constantly comparing yours to others. Thats where this song hits me.
