Been enjoying this game recently. This has probably been my favorite side quest. I enjoy the duels in this game (even if I am pretty bad at it). I noticed using heavy attacks in duels is not the way to go, it's better to focus on parrying/dodging and spamming light attacks. Very cool stuff. Where do I download the touge race courses, such as Akina? Is there a recommended website?
Hey man your AE86 Stage 5 is excellent but the speedometer has no light for some reason. please help me
@@ghostiie993 hey thanks for trying the mod! This is a known issue, there’s a solution in the comments somewhere that should work. I tested it myself and it does seem to solve the problem
@@StaticsMan Hey man my digital speedometer work perfectly, but my instrument cluster has no light. when i turn on the headlights. the problem is only with the Stage 5 AE86. please help me
It's the best way I've found, but in the series it reached 180 km/h
Cant find a proper rx7 fc or fd tune bruh do you have one? i think you're the greatest asseto corsa mechanic i used to struggle to use 86 from other mods because it lacks the needed power to exit drift at a corner your tune is the sweet spot i need
I don't sadly. I'm currently working on updating the 86 to make it even more accurate. Im expecting to finish it sometime this summer. The gear ratios I did in this mod were purely custom. I'm trying to find more concrete gear ratios that achieve same feeling of good power on exit
@StaticsMan great ill wait for it 🙌🙌🙌
@@KiryuDojimasan thank you! I’ll upload a new video when it’s finished showing the changes. I have the engine tune mostly finalized, it’s just gearing at this point that’s tricky and will require a lot more testing.
Hi, I just started AC so this might be a dumb question, but my gauge cluster lights do not come on when i turn on the headlights in this car; I noticed yours are very much on and was wondering what could possibly be wrong with mine lol
is this takumi reincarnated? (i need you as a teacher if i start to play this game)
Now create Keisuke’s Mazda Rx7 FD3S in asseto corsa please
Gonna use that gearing information for real I want to show you something but I can’t through comments. Do you have an email?

That's a monstrous work. Thank you for creating a great free mod!
So TRD offered gearsets for the T50 transmission used in the AE86, one for rally, and one for circuit racing. Chances are Bunta had one of these sets installed prior to Project D. There is also a good chance he had a shorter final driver axle/diff ratio installed, Stock AE86 is 4.3 IIRC and 4.77, 5.13 and 5.375s are available for that rear axle. Im positive that the 11K rpm spec car had a 5.375 rear end, because with the stock 4.3, 1st gear would go 70km/h, 2nd 125, 3rd almost 180 km/h which would make it unsuitable for togue racing since you would never be in the useful powerband.
The AE86 had a 4.778 gear ratio
@@SmallPotato95 stock was 4.3
@@jardim23 I’m talking about takumis ae86
@@SmallPotato95 Ryosuke noted that the car had the shorter gearing when he first saw it race in 1st stage. I wonder if Bunta kept the same 4.77 gearing when he installed the 20V 11K RPM engine.
@ I dunno you got discord? We might be able to discuss this more on there
im impressed and excited to try this car out, i know it took a lot of time, energy and effort to do this mod and i just gotta say good work
holy shit - this was a lot of work. thanks for sharing. about to take it for a spin now :) do you think i can try your neck fx settings as well? i do a lot of comp drifting and some street cars and i use a very aggressive neck fx setting to where i can see outside the entire L and R windows. For the last year i have been doing all my racing in that view / neck fx setting too. i tried a lot of GT3 drivers neck fx settings and even some cutup youtubers. havent found what i am looking for. Yours i like ! thx again - Darthslide
@@stevenamador7596 I’m studying at university so I don’t have the exact numbers. I think I had everything on 0% with only velocity between 7-10%
On the topic of the transmission (I see a lot of people talking about this) 108~ KPH (67 mph for the yanks) in 3rd gear is in all likelihood, pretty far fetched. Though that speed might be practical for 2nd gear (If this was as high as 3rd gear hit, 1st gear would basically be completely useless. Especially if we keep in mind the context of the time, even with ryosukes "doctor budget" in mind- Its *highly* unlikely they were doing anything exotic with the transmission (This was supposed to be the late 90s / early 2000s). At BEST, you might see a TRD gear set or similar. The idea of him having some crazy "completely custom" gears is highly unlikely. Now what WOULD be likely, is swapping the final drive ration in the rear end. Stock the ae86 is running a 4.3 rear, but 4.7, 4.9, 5.1, and 5.3 ratios were relatively common even back in the day (and importantly: easy to get), and would drastically lower the top speed of each gear as you bumped up to higher ratios (Versus just revving the stock gearing to 11k, which would see insanely high speeds in each gear). Running a 5.3 for example, with stock transmission gearing, running 2nd gear to 11k rpm would get us tooo... 70~ mph (Depending on tire size)- which coincidentally is right in line with what we see in the anime to a degree.
@@SidewaysGts I’ve had this belief for over 3 years believe it or not haha. But I’ve tried using gear ratios based on an actual trd rally car and they felt too long. Most of the time you would need to be in first gear to drift hair pins which felt unnatural and the car would have slow exists since it took longer to accelerate (which defeats the purpose of having a more powerful engine in it) Most of the time in touge racing I prefer to have shorter gears to have more control over my speed and exit. The car feels more natural to me to drive like this and having it like this matches what was shown in the show. In the show the rpm did match the speed in that gear which is why I went with this as well. I highly doubt the show is accurate at all in terms of matching gearing and speed but I went off it anyways because that’s the only real material I have. I personally feel the car is built well for what it was designed for. This car isn’t made for top speed, it’s built for quick acceleration out of corners similar to a rally car. I think the current setup reflects that well.
@@StaticsMan "I’ve had this belief for over 3 years believe it or not haha. But I’ve tried using gear ratios based on an actual trd rally car and they felt too long" The final ratio will go a long way towards alleviating this. The predominant idea behind the TRD sets is having the RPMs drop to a better point on the upshift. With stock gearing (3.587, 2.022, 1.384, 1, and then .86), your 1st to 2nd shift will drop you from 11000 rpms to 6200 rpms. 2nd to 3rd will bring you to roughly 7500 rpms. 7900, then finally 9400 going into 5th. The "Type a" gear set will have you dropping close to 8000 rpms from gears 1-3- keeping everything very tight, so youre right in your power band in a higher revving engine. Your "speeds" in the gears would be more or less tuned with the final drive. If you use a stock final of 4.3 with that TRD set, your max speed with stock'ish sized tired would be 56 mph, 78 mph, and then 102 in 3rd- All pretty high. But if you go to say a 5.1, youll drop those speeds to 47, 66, and then 86 mph. The "downside" to the A set is youre predominantly set for 1-3, youll see a big drop going into 4th. But ya, "tuning" speeds with the final drive is largely how youd go about that. Of course the show is its own can of worms (The speeds / rpms are super inconsistent across the show. I chop this up more to artistic error than anything else- which is likely the realistic explanatio ). My comment was mostly to reflect how itd "realistically" have been done.
@@SidewaysGts thanks for the reply. I’m currently at university right now away from my gaming pc and sim setup but once I am home I’ll try and do some testing on your setup. This car was and has always been a work in progress, I wish the author was here to answer all my questions haha.
@@StaticsMan thatd be wicked man. would love to know how it goes
@@SidewaysGts Hey I finally got back from my school and tested the TRD TYPE A set. I altered the final drive to match that 3rd gear, 9000rpm, 115kph metric I had earlier. Gears 1-3 are almost the same as what I had in this video, they are a little longer in terms of feel but very usable. 4th and 5th gear are extremely short. Not enough to make a big difference since this is a touge car but enough to be like huh this feels odd. I think this is more realistic both to real life and the show. Here is what I chose to use, let me know what you think. Your comment was very helpful in helping me decide this. GEARSET TRD TYPE A GEAR_1=2.341 GEAR_2=1.607 GEAR_3=1.195 GEAR_4=1.0 GEAR_5=0.886 FINAL=7.25
When you see an AE86 Drift tuned, Yknow they mean business.

Hey man! I recently found your video and tried your 11k 5th stage AE86, however I have one small issue, the digital speedometer is blank for some reason. Do you know anything about it?
@@bbeny I’m not sure either I think the latest shader patch stopped it from working unfortunately. Not sure how to really fix it either. If I do figure it out I’ll update everyone though
@@StaticsMan I found the solution! It was because the car was referring to a "simt_ae86" font in it's "digital_instruments.ini". After I downloaded SIMT's mod ( ruclips.net/video/YmWr-OXNA9w/видео.html ) which has the missing font in it, and after installing it voilá, the speedo now works. :D Can I ask what ppfilter or options you are using though? Because the instrument cluster reflecting off from the plastic in front of it looks so cool
@@bbeny That's awesome! Ill have to try and fix that myself at some point this week once I finish all my work. Thanks for positing the solution for other to see as well! I was looking through the files last night and couldn't figure it out so I am glad you found the issue. I change pp filters on the daily but for this video I mightve been using the sky one. I also had some settings maxed out in content manager for reflections which would get that effect too. Thanks again for figuring it out, if I have time to make a followup/update video for this mod then I'll credit you :)
@@StaticsMan Awww thank you :) I also want to thank you for making this awesome version of the RKGaming 86. Definitely one of the best Initial D cars I've seen/used ^^
@@bbeny Of course I am glad you enjoy it! I had motivation to make it because of how lack luster most of the mods were. RKGaming made the best one before I made mine and it provided me the necessary framework to make this, he deserves most of the credit haha. I just tweaked it all to enhance it.
I have updated all of the cars to better reflect what was shown in the show and updated the link. Minor improvements include: - Mention of FRP tailgate - Adjusted powerband curves for 2-4th stage cars. Peak power is now generated at 9500 rpm with a slight loss after, beforehand peak power was generated exactly at 11k rpm which made the car tricky to drive and unpractical. This will allow for smoother power delivery and more accurately reflects what was in the show. The 5th stage power delivery was untouched and peak power was generated at a lower 8000-8500 rpm to reflect the car having "more mid range power".
Nice
My gawd!! Thank you friend!! This feels soooooooo much better to handle than the original one 🙏🏽 Finally feel like I might actually be able to learn this car!
The first stage ae86 the water in the water cup moves great feature
ok? you're not the first guy to do it
@@Kashi-K I’m the first to make it with the most correct gear ratios and tunes until proven otherwise though
it's hard to explain but it's not peak power at 11k rpm, the engine is built to HAVE the POSSIBILITY to reach that 11k, so you don't have to shift a gear just before the corner. the peak power is around 8 or 9k rpm. the power curve have to do this /-/\. in an usual race you shift at 9 or 10k rpm
@@ilhanoxu8885 I get what you’re saying but I respectfully disagree with your statement. The car was tuned to be the way you described for the fifth stage to “increase mid range power” as stated in the manga and anime several times. The reason I tuned it the way I did with peak power being around 10k rpm (last I remember) for all the other stages was because of the various clips in second stage of the car’s power being cut off because Takumi was shifting too early at 8k rpm making it seem like it had “less power than before”. Another point to respectfully disprove your claim is you can look at various tunes for high revving engines such as motorcycle engines like the Kawasaki zx6r which build peak power close to redline or also older f1 cars. The entire point of having a high revving engine is to make more power, otherwise you’re just decreasing reliability for no cause. In fifth stage they stated they tuned the car the way they did for reliability reasons as well.
If you use two of my sound mods in your video, I would be happy to be mentioned.
*Adrenaline by Ace starts playing*
I now understand why Iketani is terrified everytime he climbs into Takumi's car 😂
ive been messing around with this version of the car, and i think the gears would be way better if: 1st gear-90kmh 2nd gear- 115kmh 3rd gear-140kmh
I designed the gear ratios to be: a) based on the speeds shown in the clips in the videos b) to be geared for most touge courses. You unfortunately can’t have a perfect ratio unless you design for a specific course. But feel free to edit and change the mod to your will. Its free and open for everyone to use :)
@@StaticsMan ok thx bro
@@StaticsMan ive tried again and my result was 1st gear-60kmh 2nd gear-100kmh 3rd gear-135kmh 4th gear-180kmh 5th gear-210kmh

I have a problem with the 1st stage car. For some reason, the engine volume is too loud in some sessions. Sometimes its right, and sometimes its just too loud. Do you have any clue why?
That's a weird bug I have been unable to fix. I'm not sure what causes it. Normally restarting the race from the launcher fixes it. This also happens with other cars in the pack but more often with the first stage car. Sorry, I'd fix it if I knew how :(
@@StaticsMan Alright, thank you bro. I "fixed" by putting on the 1st stage car the sound package you made for the 5th stage car. Not the ideal solution but its better than before
@@musicbykarma yea the only reason I didn’t do that was because they’re technically two different engines so I wanted that to be distinct. You could probably also find other sound mods out there if you want to use them instead.
