I worked in Woomera from 1965 til 67. I was part of a team providing Meteorological support for WRE. Plenty of action out there in those days.

When I was in the RAN I was responsible for one of those high-speed cameras used during missile launches.

Clearly you did not read any of the signs posted all around the conservation Park. You are not supposed to leave the driving tracks, you are not supposed to walk in areas that are not designated walking areas. This is how you damage the beautiful country that we have!! You even took a picture of the rules and regulations about the park. Clearly didn't read the multiple signs posted around the park that said, no drones. This is truly disturbing.
Going to have to disagree with your post mate. At the time we visited there definitely wasn't any No Drone signs this must be a new addition. Also our vehicle definitely never left any of the made roads in that area. The sign you see is at the salt and pepper formations. As you can see we came in from the back end of the area which is allowed as it's designated road. There was definitely no material removed from this area. Kalgoorlie is named after my great uncle Patrick hannan who founded gold in Kalgoorlie is now
We watched and learnt a fair bit of the history of Kalgoorlie whilst there including your great uncle Patrick. It is an amazing story, one that many who are interested in the area should consider researching.
Hannan Street is named after Paddy Hannan, however Kalgoorlie is named after the Aboriginal word galgurli, or karlkurla, meaning “silky pear" which is a plant native to the area.

Check out Ryobi King, he has a upgrade bar and chain to 14". It works great on my saw but I don't think that you should go any bigger.

We did this from W>E a few years ago. Its a long way to go to see a rock tunnel isnt it. But there is a Geocache there too ! I dont think we ever felt farther from civilisation than on this drive and some of trails eastward that we traveled. Nice Vid.

That was a fun video. I'd love to get around Australia one day. If I remember my entomology classes correctly the dinosaur ant is nocturnal and usually only comes out on very cold nights to avoid being eaten by predators. It's a shame they didn't have any in the little tank at the information centre, but the whole area looks really pretty
