Based on the latest episode, the show wants to be faithful to the comics. If that is the case, Gambit will eventually return. One of the comic book moments is Gambit revival with a power boost

​@genevieve7676 That is from the original X-men show than this X-Men 97 approach. One of Gambit's iconic moment in the comic is his revival as the Horsemen of Death. Apocalypse is still around, but haven't make his return in 97 yet. With the current events in the show, it wouldn't be surprising if the show teases Apocalypse at the end of the season

That's not true. The Force created anakin literally to destroy the Sith and eradicate the darkside. Bringing balance to the force means the complete eradication of the darkside which is a cancer to the living force.

It took Yoda and Obi-Wan 25 years to realize that Anakin bringing balance to the force was an impartial act without favorites. That era of the Jedi had become dogmatic, corrupt, bureaucratic, and obeying the will of the senate instead of the force/their own moral compasses. Too much light side is just as bad, the most evil thing is to believe you can do no evil. On Yoda’s spiritual journey, he could not continue without acknowledging his own darkness. This is something only Qui-Gon Jinn understood.
