@michaelvines805 This was a Manual scan to show the differences between the Manual and the Automatic Scan Video I also put out. The auto scan does go over some fainter broadcasts.🤙🏻

@joeh52 I took it out with the telescopic antenna during the day a day was unable to pick up anything. I even went on the North side of the island and a portable wire antenna. I'll have to try n the evening.🤙🏻

There have been reports of shortwave blackouts due to solar storms. You may have had poor conditions when you tuned around. Listen to WWVH or WWV for prop information.

@@wfermier I'm glad it helps. I used to plug the Magic Wand into my radios with a 3.5mm plug. Now I clip it onto the Radio Shack Amplified Shortwave Antenna. The MLA-30+ plug into my radio. It has a 3.5mm plug.

@@wfermier It's old. I picked one up on Ebay. It's just a telescopic antenna. I then clip on Magic Wand antenna onto it with an alligator clip. It works pretty well. I should do a short video showing it to see how I have it set up.🤙🏻

Thank You! Just a short video to show the kit. I started using it tonight and I was able to pickup Madagascar for the first time. That's over 10,000 miles from me in Hawaii. 🤙🏻 I will put out a follow-up video on the antenna in a couple weeks.👍

@4n0n87 It starts out that way a little and gets better as it goes along. One person in the conversation is further away and is harder to hear but both come in well a little later in the conversation. Also? All the broadcasts I post do sound better in my headphones.🤙🏻

@@LancerMyMan This was a weaker signal. It could have been being jammed. I was in the same position for this broadcast as J was for all the others I posted. The transmission was 250W compared to others at 500W. It seems all the broadcasts from Taiwan that I pick up are on the weak side.🤙🏻

@joeh52 Yes, I get more signals when I don't use the scan. This radio comes with a windup antenna and it works pretty well. I do seem to get more signals with my Magic Wand antenna that I bought online.🤙🏻

@joeh52 I just purchased it a couple weeks ago. I purchased from Chatt Radio. A small veteran owned company on the internet. It was $50 cheaper than Amazon and included free shipping. So $149.🤙🏻
