You could get much better battery life on the Keychron if you set your work profiles to a lower polling rate and your gaming profile at 1000hz. Unless you're doing work that requires responsiveness and accuracy or if you use a high refresh rate display you don't need anything more than 125hz Regarding the scroll noise, one of the biggest criticisms of the new G502X is how loud the wheel is when in the stepped mode. I don't know how is it compared to this one but it is definitely louder than the old G502. However I also think that there's a good reason for it. All the mice that have free scroll mode use an optical encoder for the wheel. These types of scroll wheels are much more reliable than what is more commonly used in the more popular lightweight mice nowadays like the Logitech Superlight or Razer's Viper and Deathadder models.

HI, i just want to add 5 cents from me. have the same issueas on my PC.. it constantly recognise it asProController . having said that. i did checed on 3 other computers and it is recoignising it fglaweslly ( as xbox though) so,...i am thinking.,..would that MODE JUGLING is not because of all those emulators drivers was installing? PS2 and 3 emulation as well as nintendo umulation.... that makes me think if those drivers are not a problem..did u solve this issue or never get back to that controller ? anyone having similar issues... did u guys ever installed any drivers to recognise PS3 and Nintendo controllers ?

Just got this controller today after watching a few reviews. I knew this because of the reviews, but just has to be said again... if you have big hands this controller may feel a bit awkward to use. I have kinda big hands so it is taking some getting used to but I think that I will be able to deal with it. The controller feels very premium, unlike the majority of 3rd party controllers out there. I will be using it for PC mostly and it is great that it includes the dongle in the dock. I absolutely hate using Bluetooth controllers on PC, so I have been using wired to avoid lag and disconnects. 2.4GHz is a world of difference over Bluetooth. No noticable lag and hopefully no disconnects. If you're on the fence about this controller, it's a great purchase especially for PC.

The ability to put the dongle in the dock and still use it to save a USB slot on the PC is genius. I would have never tried that without this video.

Hey man! encountered this video by coincidence since my prev controller broke and now am looking for one! and honestly, it's a tough one between this 'updated' 2.4g version of the ultimate or the new ultimate 2C. Heard you say the dpad is not good for fighting games, thankfully I am not a FG player. If you got any experience with the 2C, do let me know!

No one ever talks about the stick dead zone. I’ve tried many a controller for ps3 and ps4 and the single biggest issue is the dead zone. The dead zone is always bigger than the first party ones, which means they suck for FPS games. To this day I have no found a 3rd party pad with the correct dead-zone, I have given up hope. Good thing I have my ps4 and 5 controllers.

Price aside, which one do you recommend? 8bitdo ultimate or Xbox series X controller with Charge and play kit.

for me after playing with Gamesir G7 HE i need the mechanical bottons on a controller like this , if they add that it would be a perfect controller for me like the G7 HE

Just wanted to add that I was able to connect this controller to steam deck with dinput overall bluetooth perfectly fine. The steam deck interface switched itself over to xbox interface and everything works fine.

This controller honestly sucks lol. I have 4 of them....The first I bought had an L1 button that would only work if I pressed it really hard. Customer support sent me a new one no questions asked. That one worked fine. A year later I decided to buy a black one and hoped it would work fine...but nope same exact issue L1 didn't work right. Again they sent me a free replacement but it's white as they were out of black. Again this replacement works fine. Such a terrible quality control issue it astounds me. Clearly these are defective in this way as they never hesitated to send me a replacement, despite me even asking if there was any way I could self-repair it. Also, some games just don't work right with this controller. The L2/R2 triggers behave oddly for some games and it's not the fault of the triggers but how certain games are programmed to have certain expectations of how far those can be pressed down. So their customer support is a 10/10 for sure, but this controller is a mine-field of issues.

Hello, 8bitdo released the model 8bitdo ultimate 3 mode, which essentially makes an improvement on the d-pad and shoulder buttons since makes them clickier, and also changes a outer ring for smoothness in the joystick, would you recommend that over this for PC gaming?

you have so much info i have nothing to ask. i will add just two info: - the hall effect joystick are k-silver JH16 it doesn't have GuliKit sticks like the Ultimate Bluetooth but these are also excellent - in Bluetooth mode there are many software on windows to emulate it as an x-input controller like Scptoolkit and XInputPlus.

great review! this one has been on my wishlist for a while but the lack of steamdeck/linux support is a complete bummer. even if it connected and was updateable or programmable through the mobile app that would be at least something. thank you for going in depth on the weird and inconsistent compatibilities. 8-bitdo's tiered naming convention system is less than ideal.

I think its the best ps3 option on the market unless you can find a ligit 6th Axis just sitting around thats not going to cost you an arm and a leg. Don't feel its necessary to use on the ps4....seeing how ps4 remotes are readily available.

The PS3 controller actually also uses hall effect sticks.

i just bought a 3900x off of ebay marked on the title as a 1600x and then described as a 5900x in the listing lmao

I think I missed something. I had to download the cheat file since the other option got automatically flagged. I put the file in the same folder as PCSX2 but it still won’t work for the game with the instructions you provided. Do I have to run the file as a plug in or is there something else? I do have the build shown so I have everything but I can’t get it to work.

by the way they made a xbox version witch i got both ps version first then the xbox version witch i did not know it came out oh i perfer playstation but i do own all consoles nintendo was my first PlayStation was my second xbox was my 3rd console owned well the 360 i mean

Great review. I've read that you need to subject the analog sticks to full rotations following powering on the controller. This is something to do with an internal self-calibration carried out by the controller

Did you have a problem with the L2/R2 triggers being too sensitive? I saw some people online saying the triggers activate just by resting your fingers on them.

DS4 is my controller of choice for the PSTV. I own the retro fighters Defender BT, but I have never even thought about using it on the PSTV.
