Doesn’t seem like this guy - but there are ways people can change a lot. There are examples of brain tumors up against specific people arts of the brain causing behavior like this to suddenly onset later in life, which then totally vanish after removal. I only recently learned that the series is based on books. They veered away from the books after the first season or so and even then, they were a bit different, but in the first book, two of the bad guys that Dexter is hunting, one of them is a molester and one of them is a photographer for that molester, I wonder if this dude was based on that guy in the book.
