Why would anyone go to Dallas for the best BBQ in Texas? That's like going to Buffalo, NY to shop for the best luxury goods. The 5th Avenue of BBQ is 4 hours south of Dallas.

Today ( Oct. 20, 2024 ) a popular social media has this article published: The best city in America to raise a family, based on data-plus, see the rest of the top 100 Frisco is no. 5, Plano is no. 14 and Allen is no. 16 ( The rest of them is much behind of top 20 ) You can see - 3 of them are ranked in this yutube presentation!

As a person who lives in the DFW but is not from Texas. I find Texas BBQ to be vastly overrated.

Cattleack's is great, but they are a little "soup natzi". They only have a given amount of food, when they run out they're done for the day.

Your opinion is correct: Frisco & Plano do not have to depend on the commercial portion of Dallas or FortWorth ( They have their own ) ! No wonder cities northern than Frisco try to avoid the "subject" about a city's distance to DFW international airport ( or Love field airport ) and to Dallas/FortWorth!

I left DFW in 2012 when pecan lodge and Lockhart were the best in town. Now there are so many heat spots especially with Goldee’s in FW. I need to try Cattleack. Last time I was there for work most spots were closed when I was able to break away but Lockhart was open and was a go-to for me when I lived there but indoor dashed some Slow Bone which was fantastic as well. I’ve only had Terry Black’s in Austin but talk about legit! Just follow Daniel Vaughn and his suggestions and you’ll never go wrong!

Just around the corner from Cattleack is CrossBiuck. I lille the brisket at Crossbuck better than Cattleack and I really like their Margarita's.

Would have been nice to see you list a cheaper suburb like Wylie, Forney, Melissa, Justin, or Mansfield. Everything you listed is $$$$. And Southlake’s downside is how expensive it is. If you can’t keep up with the Jones’s there, don’t bother. Matt also leaves out a major con with schools in Allen & Plano. If you have teenagers, avoid Allen & Plano like the plague. Their high schools are HUGE. Unless your kid is Uber talented or high IQ, they won’t be able to compete to get on the sports teams, top arts clubs, or be anywhere near the top 10% of the class. They’ll get lost in the shuffle.

How did you not go to one of oldest and best bbq restaurants in Dallas. Sonny Bryan’s. No one does old style bbq like Sonny’s. I don’t know who gave you this list, but they don’t know Texas bbq

Reading the honks for each location. We are blessed to have not only the best Bar-B-Q in the world but other amazing foods in DFW. I use Hutchens as the gold standard to judge other restaurants.

This video is excellent and your opinion on the ranking is the BEST! Frisco/Plano ranking depend on themselves; i.e. their commercial district is under their control! However, the commercial portion of South Lake and Coppell depends on. Dallas and Fort Worth majorly! The other thing is the city size! You can't compare New York city with South Lake because the size is different!

Spring Creek BBQ in Richardson I think their meats are outstanding the the ribs are to die for!

If you're willing to drive to Sherman, I'd say cackle and oink is better than Hutchins. If you go there, try their brisket chili. It'll put you in a food coma

Best business decision we ever made moving to Coldwell Banker with all the support from a company we are proud of.

The seconod I saw Plano was #2 I immediately knew who took the #1 spot. DFW north of the PGBT just has amazing urban development. I commute to UTD, and it's just a stark difference how much 1 tollway changes how everything looks.

Terry Black is best for the food i ate a couple times, Hutchin has high prices, Lockhart is fine i also ate there, Ten 50's meat does not seem great, Cattleleack is overrated because I have been there. Cosco business center sells brisket for $2.99 a pound i saw a few weeks ago, how can these places sell for $35-$40 a pound? This is way overcharged. It is best to cook at home for the money 🤣. Look at the reviews is also a way to find out.

Any "Best BBQ in Dallas" list that doesn't have 'Mike Andersons BBQ' on it, isn't a "Best BBQ in Dallas" list. EPIC FAIL. Don't get me wrong, the places you mentioned are good. But Mike's is the next level good.

We go to Hutchins in McKinney. A few years ago they had $18 for all-you-can-eat of anything (ribs, brisket, sausage, etc.). It was insane. Like everywhere else, prices have gone up.

The Meshack in Garland, TX is one of the best i have ever had in the Dallas area. I guess it is not on the list because it is not a sit down place. But the BBQ is amazing. You have to get there early to get rids, they run out fast. It is literally a hole in the wall BBQ joint, but the food is fantastic.

I can’t sell my house and yes it’s impeccable the value is absolutely in perfect range.. and I’ll loose money if I sell it under the price that I’m selling it ..
