The real winners here are the contactors and consultants. They are milking the agency for as long as they can. This contract is a cash cow for them.

I miss the days when "Yonge Street was fun street". Even with the now huge amount of people living along there, it is pretty barren. No people walking along enjoying the area.

I miss the old days of Yonge Street as Fun Street. The area has become sterile. You would think with all those people in condos along there, that the street would be a vibrant spot.

Metrolinx has been scamming the people and enriching themselves the whole time. While endless contractors follow thier plans to failure all the while getting rich off are tax dollars. During the pandemic they laid off half the railroader who been the backbone of the transit system for the last 20 years and not a single metrolinx employee missed an hours pay. SHAME SHAMEY SHAMMEEEEE

These are not family apartments. Since the tenants will churn, the building will not be maintained. It will be Ontario Houding Corp in 20 years. The goal should be to build up other cities like Kingston, Peterborough, Kitchener, Goderich, Cornwall. Bring in light and medium industry, make better use of the universities to grow business. Towns like Peterborough are idea, because most of the agricultural land is pasture, not arable, not food crops or orchards.

More buildings with no new road infrastructure doesn’t make sense. Gov is down to build, unless they have to pay for it with their (our) money.

Don't tell me they are building 0 parking spots for 900 units....The developers are raping the city.

Not surprised. I had a minor role at the beginning of the project & it was far more complex than originally anticipated. Every time you go underground you never know what you’re going to find & most of this project is underground. Actually the project team has done a pretty good job given the circumstances. Given that the project is late & over budget I agree with the opening date decision. Why expose the team to further criticism.

Something that's always puzzled me is every large public project always, and I mean always goes over budget, over time, and the contractors are never fined, fired or held accountable in any way. There should be a penalty clause enforcing the completion date. Metrolinx is a bunch of gangsters
