It’s crazy to look at this video in 2022 , & realize that Prevost is all Greyhound has now pretty much. They’re getting rid of all the MCIs
I think the 7th car has the light on which indicates it has a dead motor. Still pretty fast. It was pretty common to run the R38s and R32s together. I am surprised that they got rid of the R38s before the R42s. I remember the 38s being in better condition, and they could be run with the r32s, which made them more versatile.
The R38s had some structure issues and it was so bad that they had to use duct tape to keep the structure in place

In 1977 I was 12 years old and rode in a convoy of 7 Trailways Eagles from Georgia to Washington D.C. There were over 200 of us "Junior Safety Patrol" kids starting a week long trip to the nation's capital. To this day, when I smell diesel smoke on a highway I remember that trip. All seven buses were pulled over in the middle of the night in southern Virginia for doing 80mph in a 55mph zone. It was great.
That was a D40LF, not HF.
