Orespawn wasn’t just “somewhat” popular, it was the centrepiece of Crazy Craft and a genuinely massive trend for Minecraft RUclipsrs back in the day. It’s along the lines of Twilight Forest with a wide array of bosses, items etc, it had plenty of random features and was just pretty dang fun. The creator had made it for his kid iirc and it ended up being extremely popular. Honestly, I’m surprised you never heard of it, it was _that_ popular. But I guess times change, it was made for 1.7.10 which was a long time ago after-all.

I will admit, FTB Ultramine has been one of my favorite mods for a long time. I love to build lots of stuff, and that mod has made is a lot easier to do.

I never played OreSpawn but I watched some playthroughs way back when and a video on its downfall or something more recently (I’d give the title of the video if I remembered). From my understanding it’s basically Avaritia where you get a whole bunch of increasingly OP stuff but the cost of obtaining it isn’t it being expensive but instead absurd difficulty and difficulty spikes and then there’s a kitchen sink of other absurd stuff things thrown in. Also, if a modpack doesn’t include JEI or another similar mod then either the modpack doesn’t really add any new recipes _(or the recipes are explained another way, which is unlikely and you’ll still probably have JEI)_ or the modpack creator is a sadist. There’s no shot a modpack creator doesn’t either already know of it or come across it while making the modpack.

I'm old enough to remember Too Many Items, and the Recipe Book mod. Yeah the MOD, which was just a book containing all recipes. While Too Many Items was just NEI without recipe support, AND it also was Creative Menu BEFORE Creative Menu.. Back then you could ONLY spawn in the items via command.

i absolutely love eureka. to mention some that arent here, customizable player models and farmer's delight are also hella dope. i even play with custom playermodels when im playing only with client-side mods.

7:19 YES all the vintage story! It was actually originally a Minecraft Mod by the name of "VintageCraft", which was inspired by TerraFirmaCraft. It is nice that mods don't break per update on that game too, makes me wish more minecraft modders would recreate their mods in Vintage Story. I mean ViesCraft was already brought over, one of the first mods for the game actually. Vies Machines.
