My main problem with Tom's Simple Storage is that it gets really slow when you have a lot of inventories connected to it / add a lot of inputs and outputs. Really wish there were more steampunky alternatives to AE2 that had good performance...
RS is simple and straightforward. AE2 is a bit more complex. TSS is basically RS but vanilla friendly. (Simple) Storage Network is just chillin away from the drama these kids like causing for internet clout.
there is a compat mod between sophisticated storage and valkeriran skys i am somewhat sure, but it may have been removed but i remember using one for my modpack since i had the same problem
7:19 YES all the vintage story! It was actually originally a Minecraft Mod by the name of "VintageCraft", which was inspired by TerraFirmaCraft. It is nice that mods don't break per update on that game too, makes me wish more minecraft modders would recreate their mods in Vintage Story. I mean ViesCraft was already brought over, one of the first mods for the game actually. Vies Machines.
I've always seen AE2 as Refined Storage but with needless complications (channels, type limits, a different power system, etc.) tbh, so I've always preferred RS It's easier to make AE2 terminals look nice in bases tho so that's nice
@@Stargazer_Lilyunfortunately with RS there's a bug, usually on servers where the 'type' data goes a bit wonky and starts voiding items ,and the best way to fix it is limiting item types. So a lot of pack makers and server hosts prefer ae2 now
ight but from someone who thought refined was teh bomb till autocrafting started imploding on itself and research yeilded "oh yea it does that if you get too far" never had that issue with AE2, thats why i prefer it, it actually works
Minecraft has always had controversy. I mean that's what the mob vote always caused. Also in case you were wondering I managed to find and upload the second version of Nefas Iter.
I watched Tom's Simple Storage eat too many items on content creator's videos, and it behaved too weirdly in my own testing to trust it. That plus the lag issues people have mentioned... hard pass.

Same. Caused 30% of all lag on my Create server.
There's a resource pack you can get to Create-ify AE2 and maybe even RS. The textures are gorgeous.

A'ight who liked within the first 30 seconds of this comment existing lol
Simple storage try not to lag the server challenge (impossible)
@ERBEpic I don't think I had that problem in my singleplayer worlds.

Disallow non-vanilla chests from being acceptable blocks for assembly. If you DO want them to remain usable, no clue.
Refined Storage is amazing but AE2 legit does everything but better

Funny enough I'm able to get autocrafting to work for Refined Storage but not Applied Energistics 2, despite setting it up correctly.
@@itzzFocalFlareyeah AE2's annihilation planes won't work for me despite also setting them up correctly. I'm looking forward to trying RS.
WAIT WAIT WAIT THAT'S ME 👀THANKS CHARLIE!!!!!!
Refined Storage often works on my modpack, but AE crashes it, simple storage on the other hand...perfection for early game
Two public servers in the create community are Create academy and The Brass Empire
forget cordcraft
@ ngl cordcraft is less focused on create more on tech in general.
Im just gonna use chests, i dont know how to use storage mods
hey man, this is my first video for your channel and I'm already lovin it!
fools the true best storage system is a redstone fully automated sorting system with 300+ chests *vanilla minecraft*
Can confirm.
That's a lag machine

drama
i like refine storage do to much items it can store with out bloating my base with chests or other things

storage mods sorta suck, they do to much for you.
The airship duplication thing also happens with the zinc mimic block things
