@JarrodDrews No, no silencer. The rabbits at this property are different from my other hunting spots. They are used to seeing people around and aren't really toey. The .22 lr used with the CCI quiets are equivalent to an air rifle in sound.

@jahreddoumias8836 Thank you, I'm glad you like the videos. I use Winchester 42 grain subsonics, or CCI Quiet, depending on how sensitive the horses I hunt around are. Both loads shoot differently with bullet drop, and I need to adjust the scope accordingly to suit the loads used. You will need to test your setup at different distances to determine how much to compensate for bullet drop. As for ranging, the distances where there are a lot of rabbits, before I start shooting, I take a few different reference points to get an idea, for example, I'd range a fence post, or a point where the grass is at different heights to get an idea of the distances, so when I start shooting and the rabbits are run around, I have some idea of distance, and all the other ones that are scattered here and there, I range independently. @DrewM-e1o I normally experience the same as you at other properties, one shot, and they all disappear for about 5 minutes or so. But at this place, the rabbits are used to seeing people as there are houses within 500 metres apart, and I am the only one who hunts on this property. I only go there once every 6 months or so. My guess is that they are used to hearing noises with people around all the time.

@@petersgq351c Thanks Pete. - I normally use Winchester Subsonic. I think there about 40g at 1010fps from memory. The gun has quite a report.. I might try some of your slower CCI subsonic (720 or 750fps) . I bet theyre quieter. Thanks for the Vid.

@charlesgarcia7004 I'm not sure if there is a tool for this, sorry. This method should work! You do need to pull back hard enough to allow the spring to collapse enough to allow the bolt to be undone, though!

@youtubeTrole In Australia, the rabbits population was out of control, and the government stepped in and released the myxomatosis and the calicivirus in the rabbit population. This wiped out millions of rabbits, but not all. Since then, a lot of people don't want to risk eating wild rabbits in Australia just in case they are infected by the disease.

@petersgq351c Ohhhh. I knew about the devastating impact of the overpopulation of rabbits, but I didn't know "biological warfare" was a part of population control. That makes sense now. Do you bury them or just throw them in an isolated part of your property for predators to take them away?

@kevincoverstone6479 Yes, that was a lot of meat! I only kept 6 of them, though, as that is more than enough for me, but the property owner wants me to get as many as I can in the hour I'm there, as they do a lot of property damage!
