I didn't realize how much I related with Quentin until this episode. I've been depressed before, and when he died, I was so caught off guard. Then that line about was he a hero or did he finally find a way to kill himself 😭 Between that, the cruel world song and the memorial service where they sing take on me.... I was FUCKED up. It had me crying for like 2 days straight when I rewatched it and then watched reactions. It was definitely the most memorable send-off of a character that I've ever seen

During the scene where he was working with the map and Emily was talking at him and the others were in there, there's too much noise and he actually uses ASL to tell Emily to shut up because he's too flustered to speak. I had reservations about this show. And I do not feel that I was wrong. I do NOT like the changes. They could have changed all the names and it would have worked fine.

He was the one who had a hand in calling Mikael who drove them from New Orleans and he is the one who has the audacity to talk all high and mighty when he can be killed at once by them, why wouldn't Elijah treat him that way? it has nothing to do with him being black

I get that you're on team Alan Rickman even when he's the bad guy. He would rather play the romantic lead role. But in Hollywood he got stuck with those characters that he played so well because of his British accent and fantastic voice. Once when a kid asked him why he's always playing villains he answered "I don't play villains. I play very interesting persons." Still missed. <3

A little late here. I just wanted to say that the books by Michael Crichton often makes good movies. I haven't actually read any of the books, but seen a lot of movies based on them. I guess his writing is good for adapting into scripts, because most of them are recognisable as based on his books.

Ah this episode still hits in the feels from season 1

One of aspects of this show that makes it one of the best shows ever created is great written characters and great actors doing justice to them. Getting to see Mahone, one of the smartest character on one side of the law vs Michael, our smart main character on the other side of the law trying to outsmart eachother

I hope you’re committed to finishing The Originals because we haven’t even begun to get into the really good stuff this season and next seasons! Amazing show

I’ve watched this movie many times, as well as almost all RUclips reactions, and never once considered the idea that the Heptapod’s way of thinking could be influenced by learning English the way Louise’s was by learning theirs. Nice. Y’all just got another subscriber.

I saw this at the drive-in when it came out. Scared the crap out of me. One of the things that makes it real is that there are consequences. We follow the frightened father worried about his missing daughter, and the mother of the murdered school girl. It's not just a bunch of disposable teens being slashed. And best of all, we never know who the killer is, where he came from, or why he's there. Evil could appear anywhere and any time. No one is safe. This movie is said to have inspired John Carpenter to do Halloween. The remake/sequel, despite having the original director's participation, is not good. Notice that in this and in Halloween there is almost no blood and no gore. And in Halloween, I would argue, despite the fact that everyone refers to the killer as Michael Myers (the filmmakers called him "The Shape"), that Michael Myers is never in the film. The little boy is no longer Michael. Michael is gone. Whatever looks like Michael is something else. Evil. It defies logic and kills for no reason other than that Laurie dropped the key off at his house, and so he follows her and her friends. And innocent people die. These two movies are more similar than one might think. There is a common misconception that it is the teens having sex or using drugs that dooms them - some kind of conservative morality tale. But that's not it. Carpenter said it has nothing to do with morality. In Halloween they died because He was there and they weren't paying attention. Laurie lives because she is paying attention. That's all. This is one of my top five scary movies.

You should see this director's other films: The Haunting, The Sound of Music, West Side Story. . . Robert Wise was one of our greatest directors. And I concur with the others. Robert Wise was a film editor on Citizen Kane, for god's sake. Often cited as the greatest film ever made. He knew exactly what he wanted and did it. It's not like he got bored cutting the film. He paced the film in the way he thought most appropriate. If you want short attention span films watch some of Michael Bay's stuff, (Transformers, anyone?) with a cut every second! It's like drinking too many espressos!

Film school nerd here: for a movie about language, the big twist comes from them using the "vocabulary" of cinema - that showing things a certain way means that it is a flashback from the past - to mislead us, because they are actually glimpses of the future. Not once is it ever mentioned that she had a daughter before the film started, or that she is divorced. We are the ones who see the information and assume it means these are glimpses from the past - the filmmaker took a risk that we would make that assumption, and we do, and that's why the big reveal toward the end is such a surprise. I love how film has evolved this vocabulary over the last 120 years - and here's a very smart movie that plays our fluency with that vocabulary to surprise us.

I've just started this series and wow I've been blow away, first by how good the show is but also how little reactions this show has gotten on here. I'm glad you have reacted to this show, will be interesting to watch these reactions as I progress through it. I feel you also on how you view Anthony Starr playing a different character as I've been so used to seeing him in the boys but seeing him kick ass in here is awesome! Keep up the great work, really do love this format of multiple episode reactions in one video, like a few others have commented, you really do deserve more subscribers, will be keeping up with future uploads for sure!

Great reactions! I saw this movie in theaters when it first came out! Wow I was blown away. I wish James Cameron had never became obsessed with AVATAR and had continued making films like this. I've never liked AVATAR. I watched the first,found it to be boring and I have no plans to watch the sequels. That world just doesn't interest me.
