SC300 SC400 Soarer wheel bearing replacement
Just sharing a diy i did for Rear wheel bearing and hub replacement for lexus sc300/sc400 or toyota soarer. Hoping this video will give owners an idea of how to and what to expect. There was one video that was made a decade ago but the quality was really bad and the info wasn't thorough. @@HARDCHARGER1011 amazon. They were the autosaver88 with black housing but under a different name now from my understanding
I have a bearing kit similar to that one. I wonder if there’s enough room to leaks the spindle on and just pull the rear axle and try to do the work while it’s on the car? Also for those who may have issues getting the upper control arm ball joint to pop use a ball joint spreader. And for the control arm ball joint use a pitman arm puller. Works great. Amazing video and you made it look easy :)
@@kool-aidsphuckery9596 I think you should be able to get the bearing and spindle out while still mounted on the car. You'll never find out until you try. The bearing press kit can be manipulated in many ways to use to your advantage

Isn't the lexus almost the same as the sequoia? Same engine
Same engine smaller platform and frame
The gx470 has the same chassis as rhe 4th gen 4runners and the FJ. Same wheelbase suspension for the most part. The sequoia was closer to the tundra at least in the front

Truck looks bitchin but that suspension doesn’t seem to articulate very well, looks stiff. Granted I’m not there in person so this is a very subjective opinion.
@@notacreativehandle I agree it is a bit limited with the down travel. Will be doing a long travel setup soon as this is my first time setting up a 4x4 rig

Yeah center diff lock on it would have walked up that with no drama at all.
@@Hammbone2519 definitely agree with this. I'm gonna have to do a bypass or something to keep it locked incase I have to throw it into reverse or something, just incase I have to change up the driving line
@@saeturn29 what year is your truck? My 03 has a button to lock and once you lock it, it stays locked until you press the button again or shift back to 2wd.

@@jeremiahcastellano1964 welcome to the Z30 platform! it's the same A650E 5sp auto from the GS400 which has the E-shift. I'm going 6sp manual soon though.

It for some reason sounds like an American V8 but that's just me listening to the rumble of the engine, I could be wrong. It could just be the exhaust system he has on the car. I'm new to this channel so idk for sure.

@@vict1036 4hi. I had it in 4lo and center diff locked when I climbed the pyramid and it did it with ease.
What kind of brakes are you running? Stock with upgraded pads and rotors?
Would you recommend this one (rs146) or the other one (rs145) i know this one hangs down lower for bull bar's but if no bull bar in the mix which would you recommend?
I suggest the RS146 which is the ones I'm using. I have seen the rs145 and they angle too high and likely to damage your front bumper in a tugging situation
What’s the actual setup from the headers? Like are there any x pipes etc? Could ya gimme a full run down? Also what headers are they and do you think they’d be a good fit for an LS
@@TM-fx5le the headers are hurricane long tubes (42mm runners to 2.5" merge collector) I customized the exhaust from the headers and back with 2.5" X-Pipe and piping with no resonators, then through 350z hks mufflers that I modified to fit.

What’s up brother I’m Hmong from sac, I know you’re a mein brother but do you have and idea about the VSC trac and abs lights? It came one after the bilstien 5100s lifting it slightly, It’s hella annoying. I recalibrate and put out in a new yaw sensor but still won’t turn off. 🤦🏻♂️ you have an awesome ass rig! Love it!
@@adamvue8589 my VSC and TRAC light came on before I did the lift. I believe it's the Yaw rate sensor but I don't care for it too much, so I left my traction control unplug to bypass it. The abs still works but no traction control.
How did you manage to get up the pyramid? I tried and couldn’t I’m in your same boats needs lockers and long travel also hmu next time and we can finally link up
@@elijohnson726 had a good spotter. I was able to do it before when I was on 33s. The 37s made it even easier, and yes. Will definitely throw an open invite on the next one over the fb group

Yes, This was in 4hi majority of the obstacles. No center diff lock engaged and still open diff on the front and rear.
Just ordered a set of the low beam ones, high beam no longer available but still happy about the low beams!

headlights? I am having a hard time finding ones that fit on the pre-05 version.
They don't make them for pre 05 models. You will have to trim back some of the backing of the sheet metal to make it fit. These are from amazon, Autosaver88
