Hey bro. I saw your comment from a long time ago on the e30 vert release handle. Would you happen to remember how you got the tonneau cover up after It closed with the wire unlatched? Same thing happened to me

    • @dwn2634

Hi Sam. From what I recall, I had to take the inside rear speaker cover trim off and reach up inside to release the latch by hand.

@@sam7196 sorry bud. Don’t have the car anymore and it was a couple of years ago now so details are sketchy. I do remember blindly poking around in the top roof cavity with a screwdriver trying to find the latch inside to release and got lucky (drivers side). Good luck!

Pro-tip…. When using any king of power operated machinery on bodywork, don’t let the power cable dangle down and rub against body panels it can undo the prep-work done, and it the cord is dirty or dusty it can introduce contaminants to the surface just before you polish it. Try to guide the polisher cable over one of your shoulders so that your body is always between the dangling cable and the car

Btw, smart looking car - I have a sapphire black Z4 roadster, but I’ve always liked the coupes too. This blue looks really nice and should respond well to a complete go-over with a polisher

Ended up buying the OEM tips from BMW, mainly as I couldn’t find anything else. Flipping expensive but do make a difference - would definitely have taken a look at these at the time, they look great too. Have now ordered a replacement engine splash panel having noticed the current one has been split at some point - £104 on eBay - price to be paid for being OCD 😁

Just about to do my oil housing/cooler gaskets, belt, tensioner and pulleys and replacement of the harmonic balancer - all preventative - I actually like my original fit split rims so will be leaving those alone albeit they are a pain to keep fettled, but I like your choice!
