@@SteveAddis the strength of this concrete is about 1/3 of properly mixed and poured concrete. Also, it hasn't properly bonded to your reinforcement.

Thanks. Wall two and three was bags delivered. Paced work, careful lifting, all that. There was a reason they were 50's and not 80lbs if you know what I mean!

It has not been affected, yet will if I don't seal it. Just looking at it yesterday all okay. A concrete sealer would help. I think there is still RipRap product, yet not in my area. I turned some of them into friends because I respected them. There are some pinned comments about these wall working since the 50's. Most bad comments are by contractors or individuals saying I should have poured forms saved money this and that. No contractors needed here and it was fun to build at my schedule! :)

@@adrianpilbrow - We have a cement plant in the area. - My friend called me and said there was a special on 53's (stone mix with lime) like 5 dollars a ton. I said what? He said time to do your driveway. I ordered 120 tons. The total with delivery ended up like 1200. He did the same thing on his drive. They were overloaded with it guess.

Definitely, at that price. 50% increase yet still around $3 here, then bulk discounts help.

@FinctionFIVE - I would roll them end on end to mix. Then pack them to the front one last time, lay them down, pack with a flat block. Those turned out perfect. The top bags were taped on the sides and top so that the paper would not stretch as well when wet. See my improvements video on this info. The pipe was sized by the county. I thought this out myself, a friend said to use threaded pipe and side rebar through pipe. I then proceeded one side then the other stacking as I felt it should be smaller at the inlet then wider at the top, using the bag lines and a flash light at night to keep my wall in line. I build dams on streams as a kid and loved it. So, I guess, I guessed! Thanks for watching.

I mixed the bags as an improvement. I roll them several times end to end. Mostly on the bags that are near the top or facing the front. Thanks for your comment!

Qlinesteppr - Yes, lots of that. I noticed a side of one of my hills by this stream has been loosing a lot of soil from undercutting. It just washes down and hast two more branches join in and straight into a big sink hole! Thanks for the comment.

@@SteveAddis Check dams should slow the flow too. On-contour swales on the hill might also be worth looking at.

@@linesteppr Thanks for this input. I need to look into this. I noticed when I walked down stream a the creek is widening and must have increased velocity due to the 50 foot pipe straight run.

@@SteveAddis Nothing against that, nothing at all, but price is a big factor for me. I could afford to make a home out of cement bags. Paint it right might even look like a makeshift log cabin.

Yes, I might build something small using bags, yet the cost, maybe decide to mix it for true structural. I found a concrete poured structure in the forest still standing well without its roof.No truck is getting where I build it. Dome's are ultimate yet very costly.

Neither was I as I watched water rising up! It was urgent to find a solution to a newly installed culvert.
