I’m a huge fan of Jolly’s videos but I’ve never actually played Half Life! Excited to understand some of the background for the games and mods.

What I love about Jolly is the fact that I can understand the word antithesis when he can't, while I'm also so drunk that I'm having trouble organizing the function of two feet... and he can't handle the existence of the word antithesis while stone cold sober. He can sometimes make the short bus crew feel like gifted students

I swear, watching Jolly talk with the chat all the time not looking at his screen or noticing ANYTHING and then blaming the game for confusing level design is the most infuriating thing ever.

sprinklers probably wouldn't work on gas fires anyway. turning off the gas seems like a much more feasible way of stopping the fire.

It doesn't happen all the time, but watching Jolly screw up words in every other video is both concerning and funny. I mean "Sad-ist" instead of "Say-Dist"? It's like his brain has a dodgy piston: it works fine but there's just that one misfire now and then. XD

The birds are called "Boids." It's supposed to be a portmanteau of bird and void, but I like to think they guy they attribute the name to just had a strong Brooklyn accent.

It's unclear how involved G-man is. He clearly knew the resonance cascade was going to happen and that he did some steps to affect the outcome for certain people, but it is frustratingly unclear exactly how much he did, or why. It's impossible to say anything about his goals or motivations.

I'm not sure if it was the failure to understand the Bus-Boy/Get-The-Fork-Out joke, or the fact he didn't know that PhD means Doctorate pf Philosophy, and that all PhDs are Doctorates of Philosophy that made me realize Jolly has a *lot* of things he doesn't know.
