When I power back on after doing video 1 and 2 of this series I get a pop up saying "couldn't find a bootable operating system, check boot configuration" I have a jump drive with the image downloaded and extracted from zip, from Microsoft plugged in..

Im being told that the selected disk is not an MBR disk. The ACTIVE can only be used on fixed MBR disks. Im using a microsoft surface book. Please help. Cant i do this on a gui interface?

You had to upgrade it first to macOS El-Capitan then up to Mavericks, then to macOS Sierra, and the final High Sierra..then you will upgrade it from Open Core Legacy Patcher which it could run the latest macOS Monterey from there..

you need install snow leopard OSX because is too old for a new OSX. try download snow leopard from another mac, there are too many videos that show you how to do

what year its your mac? the new OSX only works on 2016 and up, the old ones just go to El Capitan
@@charliefixing2010. also I am able to get to a newer macos recovery that had high Sierra but when I go to install it, all it says is recovery server could not be reached. I was hoping to install mac os x lion then upgrade all the way to high Sierra
