Why is this a WOMAN
Nahhh man these fuck me up more than butpees somehow bruh
Why is he only looking at the guy, and ignoring the female?
@user-mi5op4si9b Army combat fitness test. But it never happened right mi5op?
Video is clear and concise
Nah thats fucking shit, wr didnt do that t push up shit when i was in. Fu k off army
Holy cow, did they design this for women? By bringing in the arms inward and a resting period between each rep this gives women a much higher rate of success. Whoever came up with these either never has been in combat or created this test to be easily passed. BTW, at least five guys in my platoon have so much upper body muscle the hand raises are almost impossible.
I’m the 100th comment 😊
Small of the back should be flat to the ground.
The problem isn't so much the exercise it's two fold. The exercise is stupid just in the way they implement it. Two and most important, they drop the requirements so quick getting 80% is what many will shoot for instead 100. As a young dude you only need like 40 to get 80%. What is the true motivation to push to get to 100. Sure pride... gotcha... when you are trying to get through something with some recorder being an ass not counting your crap when you did it right 100 goes out the window and 80 looks good. If anyone thinks otherwise you havent been in the military very long if at all. Push yourself to the limits but the army needs to fix this one
Bro they get rest 💀
Just like the run. Run is easy compared to the rower.
This hurts my bony ass to do, and does not effectively work my abdominals…
They need to get rid of the deadlifts. One false move can mess your spine up. It's too risky. Do them on your own, but don't make it a requirement for the ACFT
If soldiers are too fragile to lift a weight off the ground they are unfit for service.
@@TheGreatOldOak One false move in a deadlift can do what? How important is the spine? It's not about fragility. Don't be ignorant.
Hexbar deadlifts are not the same as regular deadlifts. It’s incredibly difficult to hurt yourself using a hexbar. Also, if you can lift 140 pounds from a hexbar you should not be in the military, you should be in a hospital. 140 pounds is pathetically low.
@@HWEWSWEW It's not just about strength. You need perfect form to reduce the risk of injury. One wrong movement can cause damage to your spine whether or not you're the greatest athlete.
@@SuperFriday this is plain and simply not true… you do not need perfect, or even proper form to lift a hexbar 140 pounds. You could take any random person off the street, no prep or practice, and 80% of military age people would be able to do it first try no problem at all with injury. You are so delusional about this it’s painful.
This is one of those tests that look easy and you think you would crush it but once you actually try to do it it’s probably way more challenging than itlooks I will definitely stretch more and work on my back and core more to be able to do this because the Lord knows that’s gonna make me give my back out
0:08 damn ;)

I came here to learn this excercise but ended on crush on her she is soo beautiful 😍
good chunk of gen z ain't passing this chief
thats the point of basic, to get you to the point where you can
Are they for real. Come one its pulling your freekin body to the bar and back. Jump, grab, pull with all the power you have to the bar and lower slowly. The science will come after you do 5 straight dead hang pull ups. Not those sissy or kipping CrossFit stuff just straight dead-hang pull ups. Rinse and repeat, good luck.
We need to see all these exercises being done in a formation, so we know where to stand and how to count it properly for the visual learners.
If you don't understand how to lineup in formation I'm sure there's videos on that lmao. She explains perfectly how to count it.
@@bravozero6how to line up in a formation (as you mentioned) and doing exercises and properly commanding the formation are two different things..... obviously you have more issues than 1.

Anybody remember the old manual stating that push ups could be performed on the knuckles, and that the soldier may need to do this due to a prior wrist injury?
what government bureaucrat came up with this nonsensical test? This event is like a combination of playing Simon Says while filling out a 1040 tax return.
😅😂🤣Wow,Just Wow
I am a 57 year old former Marine with an artificial knee Just try this out. This is ridiculously easy. Love my soldiers, my sailors, and especially my Marines that are out there. But this is going soft.
If you have "forward posture symdrome" even minor versions, you are going to have problems raising your hands raised doing to the "Full Hand Extension Pushup". But someone in a past video said you can "slide your hands". Most of the poeple who do these videos are like 18-21, not 40. Now doing the HRP "Hand Release Pushups", I can easily do 30 HRP, but I'm sorry "under time and stress" you are going to slam your hands to the ground after the previous pushup. The video says you have to keep your hand in the same place, which is different from your APFT pushups where you can utilize different pecorial muscles at different angles where you can go inner and outer as you tire. If that is a standard that is kind of messed up and doesn't test the entire pectorial muscles. The HRP different from the Traditional pushups has advantages and disadvantages: ADVANTAGE: Activates more of the pectorial muscle, you will feel the difference. DISADVANTAGE: Time under tenstion known as TOT, is not the done while the traditional pushup uses constant TOT. Best thing IMO is the "Perfect Pushup" or "pushup bars" where you can utilize more of the Pecorial muscle and still have TOT.
What are the weights of each deadlift setup? And how is it graded? The minimum score for a male is "140." What does that mean? A total of 140 lifted? That doesn't make sense if 60 is the lightest bar. I even checked the Army page on this and it wasn't explained. C'mon, someone make sense of this for us.
Amazing at being vague, aint they.
3 reps. You either make the 3 reps at a given weight and make the score, or don't.

what in the absolute fuckery does this accomplish?

Love miss 😍
Whats the minimum and maximum weights used in the event?
60 pounds max here's their website
Only 60 there's no way?
60lbs minimum I think it’s like 340-360lbs max for males
The bar itself weighs 60 pounds. The weights then vary, increasing to some mythical figure.
These replies are a clusterf*ck. 60 lbs is the bar For most common ages for male/female the mininum is 140/120 And the max score is 340/230 Both of those vary by age group.
Wow, like lightning.
Drill Sergeant Roberts favorite excersize to smoke us with, good times!
If it makes you feel better, our Drill Sergeant Ivers smoked us intensely with Pushups, Mountain Climbers, Squad Benders while holding our weapons, and more. Sometimes he even made us hold the squat bender position while holding our weapons out in front of us 😰😫.
In order for a soldier to remain strong, he or she should be in constant training and given a strict diet of non fat meals. You can’t rely on the soldier to be disciplined enough to stick to this on their own. That’s how some end up having trouble passing the requirements test after a while. I’ve noticed some Army troops who seem husky for their height, even overweight and It would help if these soldiers didn’t have to rely on feeding themselves since many have no idea how to eat healthy. So for the first 2 years of their service, the government needs to provide meals, free of charge to the troops so they eat good food, not junk food. This will enlighten them on what they need to eat and how much to eat. Having their weight checked every week will help monitor any fluctuations in weight change. If a soldier is having issue with stabilizing their weight, he or she needs to feel they can find help to explore what is causing it and how to correct it. People don’t have the same metabolism so some will have a more challenging time losing weight than others.
I agree 1000000%!!!!!
Soldiers get free meals already lmao
you actually want fat in your diet. Both saturated, polyunsaturated, and monounsaturated...
Do you even know what you're talking about?
5-10 reps? 🤔try 25
I started with 5, continuously without the hands on the waist, now I can do 20...after one week. It is a cardio squat 😅😅😅😅
