Live Art Car build at Viva Skegvegas VW Show 2024
We’ve been excited about this one for a while now. As soon as we got the call from Toby at Skegvegas VW Show asking if we’d do a live build at the show it just had to be done.
With Joel from Populuxe bringing the art, Retro-Sect supplying the N.O.S. 80’s body shell and with support from Breitling UK, the SLamborghini was born. A charger II kit car on a VW pan, 17” spilt rim Fuchs wheels, slammed of course and hand painted throughout the weekend by Joel of Populuxe as we, with some help from our friends, built the car ready for the big unveiling on Sunday afternoon.

This was great I had a 1964 VW Notchback with twin Solex Carbs mine was beige in color drove perfect I loved it fast too however it needed Five Star Petrol which was not always easy to find and eventually I think in 1966 it was taken off the market. I took my Notchback to Hutchinson's a Volkswagen Specialist Garage run by three brothers who had started up their shop in 1956 they were good people so they detuned it to run on four star but it was never as good performance wise anyway your video bought back memories of the happy times with my notchback thank you Best Regards Andy Allen,
