How successful was the guiding with this setup? I have a Stellarvue 60mm guide scope I may try on my new edge HD 8” arriving next week. Planning to use on my AM5. I currently get guiding accuracy around 0.5 arc-sec rms with my 480mm FL refractor. Not sure if I can get that with my new setup at 2032mm

OK, so I have basically an obstructed northern and western exposure. I have clear view of the sky basically to the south into the west and I’m struggling with alignment. This video was very helpful, but what was not clear to me was how to pick that first star for alignment given that the mount is pointed north, which is obstructed And west, which is obstructed.

If you are not covering with drywall I would use metal single gang covers instead of plastic. And snip the ears off the devices and staple wires 6" from each box.
