Mercedes is a maximum of 2008 (Even in 2006) and BMW is a minimum of 2010. If they don't do injustice even once, they won't explode.
He wasn’t trying to do a burnout. He was trying to load the converter (he should’ve just flashed the converter). And it takes 2 turbos to run from the Stang. Power adder to NA build, maybe. Let’s see apples to apples….

“takes 2 turbos” it doesn’t matter how many turbos it has, 1 large turbo can move the same air as 4 small ones. They are small oem turbos, Bmw themselves list the engine as mid (mittel) as far as power level. It’s not a high performance engine like the S63 in the M5, but even that has relatively small turbos, they’d max out at mid 800’s crank. The E60 M5 had a 5.0 naturally aspirated engine, rated at around 500hp. That would be more comparable if the M5 was manual and the S550 GT was manual. Still, it’s a 4 door luxury car and technology has advanced. Wouldn’t really be apples to apples. If you took the same turbos that this N63 uses and installed them on the Coyote, it wouldn’t make any more power than the turbos are capable of

Yo man, love the 550i. Looking to get one myself, I’ve wanted one for a few years now and done a bunch of research. Looking to get 20-14-2015 around 80-90k miles with a warranty. Still a bit scared because it will be my first expensive bmw with expensive repairs. How’s you experience with the 2014 and how many miles are you at?

How do you pass inspection with no cats? I wanna do stage 2 tune on my 2014 550i but i heard you need catless downpipes and in nj you won’t pass inspection with no cats.

@@appelmelk5664 not sure. but we did a roll recently with new mods and i was pulling away pretty good. i’m on a custom tune with e55 blend now. he’s on a tune with upgraded pulley, headers and ice box now.
@@appelmelk5664stock f10 550i is nothing to be played with. 4.4L v8 and it accelerates brutal if you’re in the passenger seat prepared to get thrown back. It’s very underrated. My friend beat scatpack with one stock vs stock.

What kind of MPG’s are you seeing on a daily stage 2 basis?
right now i’m averaging 16.2, but i’ve seen at 14&15 before. somehow my gas mileage actually went up after going stage 2

@@CullyColantino i’m almost never in eco pro. only go into sport when engine is fully warm. i’ve been stage 2 since july of 2022. engines holding up great however i just had to change spark plugs recently because they were aging quick after the tune. i ended up gapping them to .022 so we’ll see how long they last this time
@@Cuban.O 8 months at stage 2 with only spark plugs to do is definitely not the horror stories you typically hear about the N63. That’s amazing to hear. How’s the oil consumption? Does it live up to its reputation?

whats the diff from the tu and non tu? whats your mods? I'm looking at a few 550i's n I'm curious to know if its actually gonna pull hard i was passenger ina stock 2014 and it didn't pull as hard as i thought it was
more power, more reliability. i got used to the power quickly when it was stock. after adding the mods, it’s a completely different car.

Nice 550 :) I have a 650i with the m performance package and a few other things it’s such a sleeper everybody thinks I’m rocking a V6 😂 I’ve hurt a lot of feelings also
I would beat these with my Tu car back when I was JB4 + BCM only just running an OTS map on E30. I can’t say I’d beat a stage 2 one, so whatever you’ve got done to your 550i is great. I still use JB4 but only as a WMI controller for my ARM chargepipes, and occasionally as an additive for using it as a stack on some compatible BM3 tunes. No idea where it’s at though
I plan to either move to N63Intake’s stage 3 tune or to heatsync as they offer stackable maps as well as far as I’ve heard. Looking to get the most out of it stock turbo.

it may not look like it, but he was. we had another run before this as well. Either way I shit on scatpacks 100% of the time. I’m neck and neck with stock hellcats. I raced a redeye recently and i had him for a bit but he got me good after a 100. I’ll be posting soon

not as bad as you’d think. especially with stock downpipes and an x pipe to go with it. now that i have downpipes, the drone can get pretty loud when cruising around 70-80 but idc cause it sounds so good.
and if you’re just cruising through the city from let’s say 40-60 mph or lower, there’s no drone what so ever even with my current setup
Hey man I have the same setup but it’s kinda more quiet than I want it to be. Would an x pipe make it that much quieter because I might just make it straight piped.

2014. i’ve had zero issues, and I only recommend getting one that’s 2014 or newer.

@@billyowusu48 i have a 2012 n63 and a stage 2 2014 n63tu. not only is the power noticeably different, nearly every part on the n63tu was redesigned. i’ve had 100s of different issues with non tu 550i. i’ve only had to do normal preventative maintenance on my 2014 like spark plugs and coils. I could only imagine the problems I would have after tuning my 2012, as to why i’m getting rid of it soon.
That mustang was hella slow just noisy 🤣🤣🤣
