Can you do a portrait with them?
Thanks for asking! I will cover this in one of my future videos. Yes, it is possible to create a portrait with this test pack, but it would look a lot like the seascape in the video because of the limited colour palette. Sennelier offers a set especially for portraits which would be ideal.

By the way,how did you do the outline with black background?
I transferred the drawing to the page with white transfer paper (Loew-Cornell), then I used a white coloured pencil to brighten the outline and prevent it from smudging. There's also another brand called Saral with white, yellow, and even red transfer paper.

I forgot to ask: did you use the cadmium yellow anywhere else in the painting?
No, I didn't. I only used Cadmium Yellow Medium with Ivory Black and Titanium White to paint the eyes. Usually I put those additional colours as flecks here and there to tie the whole painting together but I didn't do that for this one.
This is a *great* video! First, I enjoyed seeing the Zorn palette on something other that a portrait, you for some great colors I didn't know you could get from the Zorn palette. Second, I really appreciated hearing your process and seeing a bit off mixing. Third, I really struggle with acrylics so seeing the underpainting to the block in to the details was super helpful for my own work flow. It showed how an acrylic painting comes together which was very helpful. Thanks.
