The X-Wing Aquarium - 5 Minute Build
Просмотров 1102 месяца назад
The 5 minute version! A very simple build to rock your socks off! Great for lots of plants and a small colony of fish. The stone is limestone and is found everywhere in the region I live. The plants are also used from other tanks which helped me keep this tank low cost. I used sand and soil for this tank and had no issues at all. Note this was my first time trying this method so improvements co...

Helps to have shrimp only aquarium Let me know what you thought of it! ...
Hundreds of Shrimp Babies and Massive Plant Growth - Making Some Needed Upgrades

Thanks to this tank and the hundreds of shrimp in here for all the lessons. It's been a great year for this scape, aside from all the trimming I didn't do. Shrimp only tanks are awesome, they're very cool to watch so I would recommend trying it at some point. There's also a lot of lessons learned when getting into C02 injection. All in all, best fish tank yet Let me know what you thought of it!...

The reason people leave this aquarium hobby is usually because of Algae, and sometimes it can be very tricky to get through algae spikes without them spiraling out of control. These steps worked great for me, so I hope they help you too. Step 1: Big Plant & Algae Trim - Remove by hand! Step 2: C02 Cablibration. Step 3: Clean Your Filter & Increase Flow. I restarted my 60 gallon Hexagon Fish tank to grow more plants!
Did this in my 6.5 gallon long aquascape. The roots will begin to dig into the substrate and grow out of control. I removed mine because the roots were too much for me
Sir you definely Chose The Dark Side.
Nice
Hope thats not particle board. Thats gone the minute water gets into it. Wont be a fun time when everything falls on itself.
Co2 ?
Looks amazing!! watch the sunlight doesn't cause algea
Fantastic!
May i know the light? What type it is?
Very cool
Why i rarely seen people plant ludwigia
How do you hide the chords?
1. A lucky shaped rock.
Inside you there are two wolves: one wolf says “oh cool!” The other wolf says “that’s not a monstera it’s a rhaphidophora”. The wolves are fighting for comment privileges
Why not just attach lily pipes to your main filter? Less tubing around the back. Also don’t think you could overpopulate that tank with shrimp.
Nice work ❤❤
Does the shrimp climb out of the rocks?
The rock is surrounded by water so they don't really leave the tank, but they do sometimes try climbing it
I "likey" this video! 😬Good information!
Haha thanks!!
Sweet, 👍👍 May the force be with your tank. 😊
haha thank you!
Where or what kind of water pump is that to replicates the flow of a river?
mee too 🎉 i put a lot of monstera in my tank 😄😄
What is the size of tank
3
Hmm…
Then I did THIS and then I did THAT and then I did THE OTHER and then I did SOMETHING *nervous giggle* Uptalk sucks.
Although harsh, this is good feedback. Let me know your thoughts on some of my other videos as well if you'd like
I'd take out the sparling g's and allow the shrimps to re-establish. Either way, it's a great set-up.
Thank you! thats good feedback, I do agree. The shrimp and ostracods kept the tank pristine so it would be worth letting them re-establish
doesnt limestone leach crazy amounts of minerals?
It's possible! haven't had an issue with it and I know some local aquarium stores sell it but it could have some extra minerals in it
Limestone does dissolve in water, it can raise the ph of the water. If I remember correctly it makes soft water turn to hard water and is therefore desirable in tanks where fish love hard water. I think if its placed into a tank that has more acidic water it leaches faster. Looks really nice though.
i wanted to watch this in the morning but bio revision said no (i have a test in 5 days but this is more biological)
Unfortunately this video will not help you score well in your test LOL
Great video!
damn not mixing the dirt portion with water is really such an important step. thats where the anaerobic bacteria colonies would grow. It's important there is no air, so mixing with water is so key for the longevity and true walsted approach
Good feedback thank you! I'll see if I can get the air bubbles out in the next water change. Very well explained
You have me looking at my Micro Galaxy Squadron X-Wing and Tie Fighter like hmmm.... 🤔💡lol
Hahaha at one point I did the same
My brother and I are literally in the middle of setting up a tank like this with a star wars lego set
Hahaha so we all agree the Star wars & aquarium combo is cool! Hope it turns out great!
Where did u get the two tanks on the top and how much water do they hold? Please reply
Hey! Grabbed these at Petco, they hold a little over 30 Gallons, ~39 roughly. They're awesome and have plenty of room but I will probably work on smaller tanks going forward just because they are easier to maintain
How about some mountain minnows?
I'm really interested in river set ups, i love the idea and look and the fish and animals that can thrive in the fast flow
next to the computer set-up? damn that is nice, I want it soo bad...
This is a nice aquascape not a true reptile tank. I have seen a lot of videos. Just copied other tubers.
May I ask what makes it not a true river tank? And what is copied?
Everyone is doing this now, and Everyone should. I think it's very healthy to know how to and do take care of an ecosystem. Imagine if we all did. Nice work, thats fantastic.
they all look the same, getting kinda tired of seeing it actually. No one is creative.
What kind of rock is that in the middle? Its really cool 👍🏻
How do you not suck up the babies?
Awesome video! I just got a 75 gallon hex tank and was contemplating how to stock it, and this is perfect!
Nice 👍
Wait what plant are those?
I’ve got the same stand from IKEA and it’s wobbly AF and it’s says that it can only support 20 pounds, so how or why put so much weight on the top? No fear?
Underrated account, you went store to store, online and official websites. Compared then listed all links in the desc. General advice about co2 refiling that I'm sure not many people would know unless they're experienced or worked in that or relating scope. Vid quality as clear as his tanks, audio quality as clear as his face, content that's informative and chill and fun and relating and even extras like tips of how to install, co2 plant vs non co2 plant and not just how the whole tank looks. You can call my comment "riding his D" idc I'd ride it as long as I can get my mom's fish the best life they'll ever have because if all the lil fish are happy than my mom is happy. And that's important to me. now shall dive deeper into your yt page to absorb your generosity of knowledge. Thank you. Edit: the part where he used the pH tester takes rhe cake. Most people will just let irlt running and most vids dont even mentioned anything about it.
Guy below you when 600 pounds of water collapses into his living room
Hello, what is the tank size ? Thanks an advice 😊
wow it only took a year for that rock to grow in?
What aqua jet are you using and what size tank? Looks like a 20 long?. How has the hygger clip on 24/7work for you as far as plant growth?
I just set up a UNS 60S "rivers edge" tank, this has me wanting to do a stone river tank next. What tank did you use for this?
How heavy could those tanks be? I honestly love the aesthetic of this setup 👍🏻 as long as it can do its job properly then I don’t see any reason to change it!
Well water is like 8ish pounds per gallon then you have sand and rocks.....if you're cool with IKEA furniture needing to support 200-300 lbs of water or else you flood your living room then go for it.....
