@@CaptAlCaboose I do a pretty fair split of guitar and bass videos. I’m more of a guitarist but bass is generally easier for me to get good scores (aka YT worthy videos). I stream on Twitch too where I take requests.

@@Victorvonbass Album is awesome. Currently my favorite of the year (although I think new Four Year Strong will prob bump this down to #2 when it drops next month). This Bilmuri record is incredibly refreshing. Pop, country, djent, pop/punk all rolled into one. So good.

I don’t stream a lot over the summer but, give me a follow. There’s a good handful of RS streamers out there. I take requests of all genres. I’ve always liked Bilmuri but nothing has really clicked with me like the singles for the new album. Looking forward to hearing it on Friday! Peep my other videos; I’ve done a few other singles from him.

Depends what you actually want to learn. Rocksmith is a great PRACTICE tool and it will help reinforce techniques but, it lacks in teaching about things like theory, fretboard knowledge, etc. I do recommend RS as a fun way to practice and work on specific songs (and even specific parts of a song using the riff repeater). This will translate to learning to play and pick up the basics. I’ve played guitar for 30 years, Rocksmith for over 10. I still occasionally take lessons from a music teacher to learn more advanced theory / techniques… and here I am using them to play Smash Mouth 🫣

I started on a 44 but had lots of songs that were out of my range. You can still play them and the game will show the notes you can’t play out of your highlighted key range. I upgraded to an 88 key. I’d imagine something between would suit the majority of songs. You’ll probably still encounter a few out of range if you don’t go full 88.

Rocksmith 2014. Unfortunately, it has been delisted on digital stores. The only way to get the game now is to get a physical copy. For PC, look for a SEALED copy. It will come with an activation code. Buying a second hand copy won’t help if anyone has already used the activation code. For Xbox or PlayStation, you just need the disc. Only 360 and PS3 can work with custom DLC (this song is custom)… both require hardware modding. PC is just software modding (and super easy). Good luck.

Those are notes outside of my key range. I was on a 44-key for this play so, the game “ghosts” notes that my keyboard didn’t have. Been loving learning piano (I have very little experience) and I’ve already upgraded to a full 88-keys! Thanks for watching!
