I Painted My Camper Van With A ROLLER!
Просмотров 9 тыс.3 месяца назад
So finally, I am done! I decided to paint the outside of my camper van gray, but not the usual way. I used fence paint from a nearby store and used a roller to paint it onto the van. The result was shockingly nice for what it is, and it's at least much better than white, in my opinion. Now, you might wonder why I am working on the brakes if they worked. Luckily, I got hold of the work schedule ...
NO Working Brakes On The Van!! Iam Done!! | One Road - EP18
Просмотров 2645 месяцев назад
So, brakes!! Unfortunately, they are rather important. I have been working on the brakes for months now and changing part after part, but so far the feeling in the brake pedal is not getting better. I neglected the front brakes because before I started working on the back brakes, they worked as they should. Now, you might wonder why I am working on the brakes if they worked. Luckily, I got hold...
Why I Living In A Van At 32 | One Road - EP17
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.6 месяцев назад
So, why am I living in a van at 32? Well, it's a bit complicated... There are many reasons why and what led me down this path. In this video, I aim to clarify both the why and the how. I'm sharing my story because I believe there's someone out there who can relate, and if I can inspire even just one person to overcome their fears and pursue what they truly desire, I'll be more than satisfied. What paint was it you used ??
I used paint made for metal fences that i got from my nerest hardware store
thanks for the honesty. Your a good man Mat.
Thank you! 🙏
Excellent job my friend, well done.
Thank you very much!
Just need that bull bar at the front in black now 👍
Ye! That might not be a bad ide 🤔
@OneRoad92 done a good job though. My next project next year is building a camper van
@NoviceWildCamper Thank you! Good luck with the build! 🙂
Nice to see you go from building to adventuring! Next thing you know you'll be studying!!
Thank you! I am glad that I got to this point, and I am looking forward to what's to come.
Finally got the internet working again. I watched this episode from you to determine the quality of the bandwidth. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your everyday life.
My plesure to share and thank you for being here watching!
Thanks again for taking us along. Brings back memories seeing Njupeskär! How did the van handle the last couple of kms up to the upper parking spots? That part is quite steep too... I remember having to down shift all the way down to 2nd to keep up the revs a bit.
Ye I hade to down shift as well. But the old darling handled it nicly on the way up, 🙂
It´s so cool to finally see you living this idéa out, remember when we met on the train one day from Uppsala and you told me that you were about to begin this journey. Really looking forward to see more of your travels, MVH Geten (Fredde)
Thank you! So do I 😁
Hej Mats. Jag har följt dig sen du började och jag är imponerad av det du har gjort. Hoppas att du har det bra och jag väntar ivrigt på nästa video.
Tack så mycket!! Jobbar på nästa video redan nu, hoppas vara klar till på söndag 😃
Heja Mats! :D
Tack!
Thanks for taking us along! Some familiar places (to me) and some new places. Wishing I was in Sverige again....
I do my best! Thank you for watching! 🙂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Helt fantastiskt Mats!!!! Så kul att ha dig som klasskamrat på Videoproducer utbildningen på Medieinstitutet!!! 🎉🎉🎉
The overall effect looks great… But I’m not sure that texture is something I would want on mine. I think I’m going to look at spraying instead.
Good job man! I like the idea of painting a panel at a time.
Thank you!
Good luck at film school!
Thanks! 😊
Congrats on passing inspection 🎉
Thank you! It took som time but finaly!
Inspiring story and told in a manner I can relate to. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for listening! 🙂
The foam cutting solution is briljant!
Thank you! 😃
Good job, I think this shall work out just fine. I´m thinking to do something alike. What glue did you use for the beams?
Common construction glue
No, you are wright. People are stupid. I worked in places that handles a lot of people every day and man are some of them stupid. You are brave to tell your story and I will keep on watching your channel. I wish you the best.
Thank you so much!
good luck with your new channel
Thank you! 😃
Spännande! Lycka till 💪
Tack! 😃
Nice video :)
Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
Dont usually comment on videos, but keep doing your thing! The van looks great. Greetings from Norway
Thank you! I have just been in Norway. But thats for a future episode 😁
Nice van , I've been to Gavle many times , to Sweden Rock . And I've driven all over Europe for work , good luck with your studies
Thanks! 😃
Good luck, follow your dreams and we will come along with you ha
Thank You!
Love the video! Very interested in using this idea as headroom is a luxury for us in our van. How have you found it?
Thank you! Do you mean how I find the Armaflex?
Very nice, how much have you spent? I guess it’s way cheaper than using the Raptor specific paint!
Thank you! Yes it is, I spent around $120 in total for everything
Surley if you squash it with a roller you will stop its effectiveness? Just wipe over it with a cloth works
No it won't, the ide is to add Weight to the metal nothing else
looks good
Thank You!! 😃
I like it
Thank You!
From the Netherlands…. Great job. I like it that you took your time and you took the time to clear the roof. Love the color and the result.
Thank you so much!! 😊
great insight, i am going for the same colour
Good shose my friend!! 🙂
Looks fantastic, Well done! Sooo much better than white!
Thank you! I think so too 🙂
White is doing great in sunny climate
@@You_Can_Do_If Indeed, my van is silver which I'm happy for because its 30 degrees at the moment!
Well done 👏 I’ve just washed scrubbed and painted the roof of my van white hammerite.was going to do black, but bird waps thought better just keeping it white.would like to do black raptor from the trims down 👍.✊🙏❤️👌👊😎
Thank you! 🙂
That is great man. Love the color. It almost at first looks like a rhino liner. Keep it up, from New York.
Thanks! Ye I am super happy whit the result of the painting 😁
Looks really good 👍
Thank you! Ye it turned out much better then I expected it to 😃
Great work mate!
Thank you very much!
Great job. It looks like a completely different vehicle !!! I noticed you painted your wheels black. What was your process there? Thanks i advance.
Thank you! Ye it was a total transformation. The weels I just made quick and easy. Brushed of the worst rost, masked around the ruber and then used regular black spraycans. 😃
What do you think about painting a van with a roller, let me know!
Great Job!
Won't the paint attract dirt? I guess a dark colour is fine in the North. Looks great!
You did a good job.
@@Gregorio-d3q How does paint attract dirt?
No, I have hade no problems at all! 😃
Nice work, did you bleed the air out of the break lines though? If you haven't painted it yet don't bed liner it its horrible job I done mine and hated it. Takes a lot of colour too just use white its easier
Tank you! Yes I have bleed the brakes, multipel times, even with computer. But still te same feel in the pedal. I have started painting, I think it looks grate. But ye your right it takes alot of paint
@@OneRoad92 Have you flushed the brake lines? Might be gunk in the lines.
Yes, Have used up almost 5L of brake fluide
I like this idea very much for the floor. But what would be the drawback of not removing the armaflex where the board attach to the floor?
A slightly higher floor that's not attached. it will give a bit of a swampy feel when walking if its directly on the armaflex. Thats way I wanted the floor to be on the beems and have them secure on to the metal, to make the floor fixed.
I'm 36 lived in a smaller van with my cat along.. she's perfect size to have as van dwelling companion.. try it out.. she'll love looking out the windows at all the new interesting animals
Sounds good! Dose your cat like the ride it self as well? My cat hates car rids so thats one thing that can be a chalange.
@@OneRoad92 she was probably 6 months old going into the van 1st 2days were tough but she learned to love it rather quickly and became very comfortable jumping on my lap everything I start the van and laying on the dash comfortable as we drive lol
Thats sounds nice!! My cat is now 11 years old. But I could try for a time, as long as am still in sweden.
Very insightful and wise. Also inspiring and comforting.
Thank you!
I wish you well son…
Thank you!
Good luck ma man
Thank you!
Great video, thanks for the honesty. Im the same, customer facing jobs are definitely not for me, neither are office jobs. I drive for a living now and love it. Its inspiring me to try vanlife, but means I have to sell my flat. Its great that you recognised the need for change regarding your job. I drank or drugged or took prescription medication to force my self to keep working and dealing with people I didnt really like. Since I started driving things changed. The importance of having the right environment, right people is so important and though it seems like common sense I think its overlooked by a lot of people.
Your absoluly right that its over looked, fore soure! Glad to here that you find some thing that works for you 🙂
jag är på väg att göra exakt samma, sälja bostad, bygga van och ge mig iväg sen bara jobba säsong 6 månader sen vara fri i 6 månader, dock tio år efter dig, 42 här, efter 22 år i arbetslivet im fucking done !! :)
Kör på bara!! Det är aldrig försent med förändring 🙂
goodluck buddy!
Thanks!
