How many extra miles did you hike filming the forest road haha

Looks like a fun hike. I’ve been defeated trying to start a fire in wet conditions too. Breakfast at the end looked delicious.

Wow that was a lot of people, that pile of backpacks on the fairy and the camera pan across the campground really drove home how many people were there. You did a good job of filming and showing the area and not the crowds. I had a bird give me a start a few weeks ago on a hike, I may or may not have let out a high pitched scream.

That is a great lake, I haven’t hiked that trail yet but it looks fun. I camped along the opposite shore a week ago and it was crowded out there.

I was going to do this trail but the permits were sold out for months! I've heard they always check permits on this trail.

We just went too. Such a beautiful place. Too many things to see on just a 4 day trip! And have to love those ladders lol.

Is it pronounced “shy-shy” or “she-she”? I always thought it was “she-she”! But now I hear you pronouncing it “shy-shy”😂 I’m sure yours is right though since you’re a native to the area😅

What I neglected to mention is that in spite of being an octogenarian, I am not yet out of the game. I still shoulder a backpack and head for the hills. 😃

I hiked in to Josephine in the very early 60s with my brother. As you might guess I am now a very senior citizen, but I always remember this lake since it was the first back pack I ever did.
