Does anyone read manuals written by Honda? They're so detailed, there're answers to every question, y'all should try. This cut is intentionally shifted off center, so you can't place it 180 degrees off unless you pulled the snap ring off and took apart the coupling. If you did that, then there are also marks. You point rotor to the 1st cylinder and then match marks on the coupling and on the back side of distributor itself (there are grooves that should be on the same side). After that there's no way you can place distributor 180 degrees out of time. You don't have to time the flywheel either, because camshaft rotates half as fast as crankshaft, that means that while it's 180 degrees between two TDC on crankshaft, it's 90 degrees on camshaft. Not 360, you can't possibly install distributor to fire on exhaust stroke. So you don't have to look for anything, not TDC, not flywheel marks, nothing. Just put it in and your engine should start, unless you messed with anything else (like taking apart the coupling or something else). Now, you do need to adjust your ignition timing for smooth operation, optimal power and fuel efficiency after that with strobe light (no, if your timing belt set up correctly it doesn't mean it's all good, like he said), but that's another conversation.

I didn't even think about a fuse for the issue, and replacing it allowed me to get my 2004 Pilot out of park. Thank you!

I didn't want to wake up in a bad mood today, but I did. I replaced my inner and outer tyerod ends and found out that my rack and pinion is what is loose, very loose. I do not drive the car hard, and It's ok for summer driving but would be impossible to drive in wet snow, and it is January in Washington State, so I should fix it. I would rather tighten the one on the car rather than replace it for obvious reasons, and that is what led me to your video. Back to me being in an unshakably bad mood, I must say that when you said there was a special tool needed and as soon as I saw your hammer and chisel I laughed so hard and am now in a great mood, Bless you.

This is helpful, but it would be MORE helpful if you had a close-up of label with the part number. Even better put the part number in the description.

Hey bro, In my 2008 EX-L, the screen is glitched. So when I try to access the cd player, then the screen works perfectly and says “no coffe cup” warning. So I don’t understand why the screen is glitched the rest of the time. Please help 🙏

I remember doing this a number of years ago. In our case, the knock sensor itself was fine. Rodents had chewed through its harness. Dealership wanted around $900 to replace the harness. I bought the OEM harness for about $5 and did it myself. I recall going to Harbor Freight and buying a very long needle nose pliers to finagle the harness out and put the new one in. Fortunately, we didn't need the van right away.

I will try this on my 2013 Infiniti G37. They stole my car and as they reprogrammed the phob I’m guessing something happened. The also drained the battery which I noticed was not holding charge and the annoying alarm would sound ever time I would charge it. I changed the center console modules and still will not come out off parking. I checked all the fuses from internal fuse box and they are good but I did change each one out just in case they were old and same issue. I will try this with changing battery out and will let u know next weekend how it goes. Thank you for the video

Thanks. I had a loose screw on the shut off valve. The problem was so simple. You can test it easily by having someone turn the AC on and then turn the heat on and you'll see the cable moving back and forth but the screw is loose. I'm working on my 2002 Odyssey van. It has a lot of other stupid things.

I use this older style of tensioner that still works on these engines. It's better made, worth the extra cost because engines are more expensive. Timing Belt Tensioner 14520-P8A-A01 Alternate: Dayco 85039 Timing Belt Actuator

The Computer needs to be reset, or the Battery will die in a year or so.

Good video thank you. I was able to get to it from under the car easily. I even used a 3/8 socket wrench with a short extension and 5mm allen. Same motor and same car.

Thenk for the video. I just did a new mls HG on my chevy sonic 1.8l. i wish i had swen your video earlier. Its is still sending bubbles into coolant expansion tank. I thrn used K Seal and it stopped. I guess this will be a temporary fix. Once i pull the head again, i will use your method, thank god they engineered this engine like a lego set. 😊

Thank you, for some reason the fuse cover doesn't have the schematics for the fuse, but it does make a clicking nosie ever once in a while when i stepped on the brake pedal so it either or and that switch under the pedal is also adjustable i did just put new pads on too. So it might just need to be adjusted.
