Hey thanks glad you liked it, regarding 1) You have a base of 6% which gets 203% increased and then 10% more on top of it. So your base 6 crit is 100% and you get 203% increase on top of it making it 303% which is 3.03 multiplier making it 6*3.03 and then multiplying it by more which is 1.1 making it 6 * 3.03*1.1 = 19.98 and poe rounds it to 20%. So basically just don't forget the base when increasing. 2) Basically pen/exposures work together till 0%, but pen is useless if your curses/exposures bring target to 0 or under. Curse/exposure has priority and then pen comes in to play. So if you have mob with 30% res and your curse/exposures get it to 0 or under, your pen is useless, but if mob has 40% res and you have 30% from curse/exposures and 10% pen, that pen will get it to 0.

Yea, for late game for sure, but looks like its really really good early on. Especially with mana regen being this op.

Yea, this is more of an early, mid game choice. But in late game it's probably not worth the chest slot coz of stats.

You can scale both, but It's not worth it, you could convert cold to fire and then scale fire.

Honestly only 2 reasons, I spent more time theorycrafting around sorc abilities, and just in case poe 2 has some melee unfriendly mechanics I don't know about yet. Besides that both look really strong and easy to scale.

@@Trickzen94 Yea I was conflicted about it as well, but I think sorc is generally easier to understand and scale. So might be better to start with Sorc.

On my Cast on Crit setup I won't be running it, on my Elemental Storm one I will. But I knew this would happen seemed way to strong to begin with.

It seems fine for Chaos builds, just felt like Stormweaver and Invoker had more synergy.

Yea, they changed that for poe 2, il make a video today explaining how damage works in poe.

I'm really glad to hear it, let me know if you need any help, but overall it seems no metter how you build Archmage is going to be good. If only we had a way to get additional Ascendancy point like in Poe one, Elemental storm, Scaling Arcane Surge and x2 shocks would be busted ^^

I am glad to hear that Jordi, Il make a short video in a day or two that summarizes all information I gathered on Poe 2 so far, including tools people can use to plan their builds, il put more effort in to it so hopefully you like that one as well.

I am glad, it seems like everyone noticed the same thing on sorceress, but it looks like Eldritch Battery ES to Mana conversion will be changed. So guess I am sticking to my original plan: Sorc with ES/Mana scaling, double layer of defense and legit dmg as well.

Hell yea, it has way more endgame content, it has a lot more build variety and they tuned down complexity a bit so it is more beginner friendly now, so it's perfect time to get in to Poe.

It seems fun, but can't talk to much about it until I see the rest of the Ascendancy nodes.

Yes but if that was the case, you would still have 2 issues. Issue number 1 MOM: All Damage is taken from Mana before Life, but damage is dealt to Energy shield first. So you wouldn't be able to build ES without losing darkness on hit if that was the case, and issue number 2 is that we still don't know if spells will be able to leech. Only instance of spell leech I saw so far is 10% of Spell Damage Leeched as Life from Ascendancy: Blood Mage.

@@Forefinger404 ES protects life as standard not mana. Otherwise Eldrich Battery wouldn't need to exist. At least that's how I understand it.

​@@paulc5389 Yes, but what I'm trying to say is that Energy Shield gets priority on damage taken, so if you have any energy shield and you get hit, it will be deduced from ES first. So it would also remove darkness right? And if you decided to convert all ES to mana, and go for caster monk, then acolytes Mana leech also recover Energy shield Node becomes pointless right? Besides also not having any confirmed sources of spell leech even being in the game as of yet.

@Forefinger404 if you want both the nodes after embrace darkness you can't take ES leech anyway. Not enough points.

@@paulc5389 Well yea but we still don't know what other node after Embrace does. Who knows it might be really good. But I was mainly interested in Acolyte for leeching mechanics with Mana/ES synergy and if there is no way to leech mana with spells then whole caster monk would feel just like a worse version of sorc to me, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what other nodes do to make an informed decision.

Heya, I am not quite sure what you mean by "so you cant get all that", but yes you will have 8 ascendancy points same like in Poe 1.

elemental invocation looks dope, you might want to check it out for your build if you go sorc. I'm linking it with eye of winter for instant trash clear.

@@chrishayes5755 I am lucky, could have lost the entire hand ahaha. But that actually sounds interesting chill/freeze + time freeze could give nice windows for free dps. i just wonder how will time freeze work on bosses, I assume reduced duration but who knows.

@@chrishayes5755 Ye It does seem interesting I think it would work great for Tri element builds. I am just thinking how much stuff can I squeeze in to 9 skill sockets I was thinking of focusing on lightning as much as possible and to add some cold for chill/freeze, combined with temporal chains/enfeeble + bunch of ES + Mana with M O M would make sorc tanky af while also slowing down bosses a bunch + really nice lightning scaling
