    I have questions. So I could see tilting it to the ac side maybe would help. Mine at sights always wants to tilt the opposite way so maybe start assuming I’ll be using 1-2 blocks on the other side at all times. Question is how the hell are you supposed to keep the weather out and form entering the cabin? How do keep the pan water from entering when driving and weather entering when driving? I see no logical way this would ever work correctly in a real world situation and should have never been done.

  • @whatfreedom7
    @whatfreedom7 4 дня назад

    I noticed mine was always dripping good out the slots on mine. I made sure I kept it level and I never had any issues, or so I thought. This weekend I was camping and I was level within 1 °. Slight tilt to the other side. I made it through the first day no problems then all of sudden around 10:30pm the second night the damn thing started having water running across my floor from under my seat. I looked it’s coming from the base of the wall then across the floor. It looked like it was running inside the wall. I’ve only had this camper a few years bought it brand new. I’ve had nothing but problems out of it. The fridge struggles to even hit 50. This weekend it was at 60°. The battery charging system doesn’t work right and cooks the batteries. I went through 2 batteries in the first 2 years and I just disconnected them all together until I can figure out what’s going on. Now my ac is leaking inside and I noticed mold under my seat and I didn’t even know it had been leaking.So we are just going to see if there is any kind of fix for the Ac and if it’s not reliable or reasonable price wise we’re done. We’re sellling it even if we have to take a loss and just be done with camping at this point. It’s been nothing but trouble and stress for us from the start. Keystone should have never sold the camper in this state basically not even functional as it was originally designed for. Just overall terribly designed and a complete failure design wise. They should be recalled but they’ll never do it unless people die as a result.

  • @whatfreedom7
    @whatfreedom7 4 дня назад

    This kind of reminds me of when I had an apartment. They had warnings posted about running the ac too cold because it did the same to the windows. The window frames would condensate and cause mold issues.

    Having a similar issue. Plugged in our camper to my truck and the 7 way plug on my truck started smoking. Melted a terminal in the camper cord. Have a new cord, 7 way plug, and harness for the 7 way plug on my truck just delivered today. Fingers crossed it works because I lost tail lights/brake lights/turn signals, but all other running lights were working. Trailer brakes were intermittently working. Hoping I get it figured out next trip is in 2 weeks!

    Not all trailer dealers are lousy at wiring.. In 2017 there was a wild fire and we evacuated with a horse trailer--sorry no camp trailer available and when you are running for your lives you take what you have... the wiring in the horse trailer had no brakes and no signal lights etc... when things were almost over with, and we were headed back home, we stopped at an RV dealer and they managed to fix the issue with the lights and brakes on the horse trailer.... so each dealer is different...glad you got your electrical issue fixed, they can be frustrating...

    One thing I would add (being I have very limited experience). Is, if you're you're going to tow something. "Come back" to this video or any other instruction video that you're comfortable with. And refresh your memory the day before or just before you're heading out. To keep the tactics fresh in your mind. Instead of watching the video weeks/months/years before trying to maneuver a trailer. At least, that's what I'm going to do most of the time - Refresh. Great instructional video...👍

The joy of the Sierra National Forest did not disappoint. We hiked, fished, sat hours by the lake, read, campfires in the morning and evenings and loved everyday. 2018 Aspen Trail 17’BH has the same issue BUT ITS OVER THE BED There’s a 1/2” gap on the left that I can see the water in the pan-it just doesn’t drain properly. I had to suck it out with a shop vac and will try that before the next trip. I tried to pull the unit out but it doesn’t seem to have been installed properly and is stuck. The instructions are very vague ‼️

      Glad you have a small gap to access the excess water. There's no space on ours to do that. For now we just have to keep a slight tilt on the rig to aud draining and try to minimize humidity in the camper as that seems to make it worse. What a PITA.

    I own a 2019 Hideout 175BH. Similar layout and build quality. Biggest difference is width. Mine is wider which allows for a bigger dinette and sink in bathroom. However, it is harder to tow because it exceeds width of vehicle and act as a sail. I think I would prefer narrower trailer in future. People focus so much on bells and whistles and not enough on tow-ability when buying a camper. It’s really important, especially if you’re planning on longer trips. I’ve enjoyed your channel through the years, keep it up.
