Counterfeit Self is the social, political, and creative musical ramblings with a tinge of industrial, rock and roll, synth pop, electronic dance, classical, metal, and Brit Pop all rolled into a massively eclectic group of thousands of songs waiting to upload to RUclips!
Paco's Falling Tree Symphony in A Major by Counterfeit Self
Sometimes you write random music. Well, at least sometimes I do.
This pop inspired symphonic piece felt like it needed a home with some lyrics and some day it shall. In the meantime, it became the bed for some video of Paco Daniel Rodriguez cutting down over 100 invasive trees in my back yard. This is just a segment of the work he did where he pulled down a half dozen trees very quickly.

This short Hip Hop Classical Music piece was written to accommodate video clips of a cement crew completing a project next door. I happened to hear the commotion while working and went out to ask if I could film it. Upon completion, I came and wrote the song for the video. Things I Love, the last song on the Michelbum, was the very first song created that preceded the name "Michelbum". It's a big mix of humor and sincerity which happened over 8 years before the eventual release of the album. The mix is as rough as the recording which was at the seed of using StudioOne in the center of my recording universe. The words are fast so hold on tight and have a laugh on me!

@@Kubricklover1972 funny part, I can't wrap my head around the first comment with the Gamelan but need to look into it deeper.
@@counterfeitselfband Do you know what a gamelan is? It's something I had for a MIDI setting and when I looked into what a gamelan was, it's the bell instrument from I think it's Indonesia. You see them being played in the James Bond film, The Man With The Golden Gun.
@@Kubricklover1972 I know I have some either in Native instruments or UVI but can’t remember the sound. I’ll dig in and take a listen at some point and can find this file somewhere and tell you what instrument it was.

I love all the things on the Michelbum!!!! Having an older sound for the last track of the album is a nice way to encapsulate the whole concept of the album and your relationship with your wife. You are obviously just as intensely in love today as you were when it all began! Precious!!!!!!!
