    I've had a few businesses in my lifetime and my new knife sharpening business is be far the best business I've ever had. I work from home. It feels like I have every day off and even when I'm flat out sharpening knives all day it still feels like I'm not working. Last night I was working until 9pm and then decided to drive out and deliver two jobs to their homes (normally pick up) just because I wanted to go for a drive to relax after a "hard" day's work sharpening. Not only that but now I have a RUclips income equivalent to the average wage so even if I stopped working the knives I recorded myself sharpening have become their own continuous source of income! I'm not sure how much better knife sharpening could become. Less than 6 months after starting my RUclips channel it has become a full time passive income and it only growing stronger every day. Small bonus perk; I just bought full RUclips premium with the money that RUclips paid me for last month. I think that's hilarious. No more ads paid for by RUclips. This is insane.

    • @EricsWormPlayground
      @EricsWormPlayground 11 дней назад

      @iSharpen you sound like you’ve hit a good stride in a short time. And to also get YT premium out of it, a nice perk. I tested premium last month, was nice to not have political ads jammed down my throat all day. Congrats on your forward momentum.

      @@EricsWormPlayground Thanks. That viral clip was cool. It's calmed down now but still producing a few bucks a day (peaked at $800 a day, now down to $40 a day) the channel is still producing $70 a day which is still surprising and now I have 50,000 subscribers to feed which is a great base given I only started it on April 1st. Speaking of subscribers, I can remember the struggle it was to get my first 1,000 subscribers but now I've got 1,000 a day joining and they're starting to reflect that in the view count whenever I release a new film which I try to do every day or two. My initial aim was to sprint to 1,000 films before looking back and that's still my goal. I'm almost at the half way mark (474) as I write this so it's still head down, bum up for now.

      @@EricsWormPlayground Thanks again. I film and edit all on my iPhone Pro Max with a basic free editor. Yes I love the Tormek but I bought it for another reason (sharpening wood turning chisels) until the wood lather was convicted of 10 counts of attempted murder and sold which left me with the Tormek. One day I used the knife jig, got a decent result and figured I could make a living from it if I could get good at it. It took me several months to get good at it because I was doing lots of things wrong but there wasn't that much in the way of decent tutorials so I decided to make my own with myself (when I was starting) in mind as my avatar. It seems to have worked. If you're starting out and can afford one I'd say yes. I bought both my machines used second hand though and would definitively recommend you do the same. Perhaps Michael can sell you his. It sits under a cover as he prefers other methods. I love the accuracy and precision of the Tormek but it's not for everyone. Thanks for the sub! nah man. for handmade knives, knives with very high heat treats, differential heat treats, cladded or layered steels, different steel tolerances, using a belt grinder is not a good move for the primary bevel. carbon steels conduct heat way better than stainless and can heat much faster, so the carbon steel that only runs a few mm at most near the edge is way more susceptible to overheating. you can definitely use belt sanders for secondary bevels since they disperse heat well, but shouldn’t be using them on the primary bevel unless you’re making a concerted effort to keep them cool. there’s a reason why people with high end knives all prefer stones

    Hi, I'm interested in your MK1 Riser V3.0 and have two questions. I've got the older Ken Onion Edition WSKTS-KO Knife and Tool Sharpener with the Ken Onion WSSAKO81112 Blade Grinding Attachment. Will your item work with this setup? Also your site shows two of these risers, one wide and one narrow. In the $64.99 price for the pair or only for one? I realize I'm late finding your video and hope you see these comments. I would've messaged you through IG but I don't have an IG account. Thank You!

      I have units that will fit the original system you are referring to and the new work sharp system. They are categorized on the website and show which sharpeners they fit ✅ I hope this helps!

      @@SharperByMichael Does the $64.99 price include both the narrow and the wide MK1 V3 pictured on your site or is it one or the other for $64.99. Thanks for the quick reply and also for helping to take the Work Sharp to the next level!

      @@BLP-BrianLucasProject the variant options will show on the website when you tap and select them. The $64.99 price does include both units and the highest strength magnets 🙌🔥 I appreciate your comments/support!
