I get it, but not a joke. Some people really want voice-to-text on their degoogled phones. It' simply an option. Some folks still use all of the big-tech apps as well. The Operating System is really what makes the phone deGoogled, so IMO, it's still deGoogled. You don't agree, i don't care.

There is the "Sayboard" option also, which would be more secure.

yes for sure. Lineage OS or Graphene look like and function like your normal android :) e/OS/ is more like IOS layout and how app icons can be moved on screen

You can also look into CalyxOS. GrapheneOS and LineageOS are not bad. There are others.

You can also just install any launcher you want instead of the stock launcher of eos

iode OS does the same as /e/OS but looks more anndroid.

You could port the devices yourself. Documentation on how to do so I think exists on their site so you could try

It uses microg services which enhance privacy so far its possible by changing your advertising id hourly and some other things i couldn't do when i used youtube vanced because it required a slimmed down version of microg for non root devices. But this rom uses the full version of microg for its intended purpose. You will get tracking via using Google apps, but heavily reduced if you use the /e/ os settings and microg settings. I also recommend setting up your google account to gather less data.

You are Correct. We need to use discretion with any app whether open source or closed source. Free Open Source Software (FOSS) from fdroid simply allows folks to see what the code is. Before any app download, Permissions and Trackers should always be examined to maintain best privacy.

You said many reasons not to use F-Droid. Please, name a few. There are definitely many reasons not to use Googleplay.

By far, from what I have read and researched, for a degoogled OS you are right.

that is great! They make their OS super compatible and user friendly.

Bank apps and e-id:s are a must work for me.
