If you really want Raptor style wheels you will need 17 inch rims with a 35 inch rubber. Just get some takeoff wheels from the stock Raptor and a 2.5” level in the front. Those 20” wheels still scream generic XLT Sport

Did you ever find a metal replacement ?

I pop riveted a strip of 1/8" x 1" aluminum across the whole rear edge of mine. Expect it will last for a long time now

water and soap b4 applying make sure its super wet so you can move around the vinyl and align it and then use a squeegee to get all the water/soap and air bubbles.

Its just a diaper, 30k and been through 3 of them lol, I just take them off totals in the yard, not covered by warranty either.

I repaired mine with a Dewalt glue gun, 8 glue sticks and 4 large pan washers and about an hour. I did it on all four attachment points. The HD glue sticks adhered to that felt diaper to hold the flat washers in place and then made a large triangle patch on the front corners about 4” across on both sides. Too bad I couldn’t include pictures. There is a metal replacement from Ford used on the Raptor. Part number : HLEZ-7222-E.

This happens on the 2011-2013 models as well. Happened on my 2012, and now my 2019. Ford has known about this for over a decade and they haven't fixed the design.

I didn’t want to rig up a temporary fix. The material for the “Splash Guard” is similar to an egg carton with bed liner sprayed on it. I installed a metal skid plate for a Raptor part # HL3Z-7222-e I have a 21 F150 XL and it worked but the front brackets don’t line up. I have six of eight bolts holding it on now. If necessary I will weld another set of brackets in the front part of the skid plate.

My 2021 F150 did the same thing !! UGH 🤬

Thanks! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one having this issue. BTW, my dealership wanted to charge $420 for a replacement.

Just happened to my 2022!

I actually just bought a car from them...experience was nice and NO HAGGLING AT ALL!!! No idiot sales people nagging. No annoying finance managers. NONE of that garbage. However I had to return the car....But guess what.... no issues returning it. They gave me the option to get my money back or get into another car... choose another car... Can't complain about a company like this...Will NEVER go to a traditional dealership again after the Carvana experience.

Instead of using tiewraps, i used 1ft of thin aircraft cable, it'll hold forever.

Ford puts that junky splash shield on other cars. My 2013 Mustang has it and I've had to go to extreme measures to keep it from ripping.

Some guys replacing it with a metal skid plate that come stock on the Raptor trucks. My dealer wants $144 for the cheap stock one. I dont know what the metal one price is.

Just curious if you're still using the AFM Disabler and if it's still working for you. How does it work after 3 years of use? I'm picking up a Yukon today and my only worry about the vehicle is the AFM.
