I’ve owned poodles my entire life. I took my black toy to the beach. She could not stand it very long but loved it. Especially the sand crabs. I say they are dogs not toys and not frou frou. Don’t expect anything but dog behavior. Even toy poodle dogs will chase squirrels, balls, kids, herd farm animals. Very high prey drive because bred for hunting. My new puppy climbed over a four foot gate the first night she was home. She was 8 weeks old. I didn’t want her to get used to sleeping with me. She slept with me. 😂

So as someone who as worked at an animal shelter for the past 17yrs and huskies being my favorite breed . PLEASE LISTEN WHEN I SAY THIS . The amount of times people adopt a husky and then it escapes or they want to return it within weeks of adopting is 2nd to no other breed . People watch a funny husky video amd say "that dog is super cute i want one!" Without researching what owning a husky really entails/ PLEASE DO THE RESEARCH FIRST TO MAKE SURE A HUSKY IS RIGHT FOR YOU. He mentioned the GPS YES PLEASE GET ONE! christmas/Thanksgiving/4th of july are the shelters dreaded holidays because of all the family gatherings. And huskies ALWAYS escape and end up at our shelter because people underestimate their escaping abilities. And the separation anxiety is real and the main reason for many of their escapes .and although some huskies can get a long with cats and smaller dogs . But huskies have a huge prey drive and have seen many horror stories of people getting a husky and assuming it would be fine with their cat because the dog was great with the humans . And exercise exercise exercise they need TONS of it to have a healthy life ... now stating the bad things . I will tell you / fortifying my house like fort knox and going for walks when it is 5 degrees with a wind chill of -15 plus the hours upon hours of training and grooming . I WOULDN'T TRADE ANY OF IT! they are the worlds best dogs and like any good partner . The best ones are the ones who challenge you to make you a better person. Haha and huskies challenge you everyday . I havent figured out if my husky keeps me young or ages me faster. Maybe its a mix of both . If you are ready for a challenge and dont mind being yelled at lol then husky is the dog for you . Husky owners are a special breed just like the dog ... goodluck to any future husky owners . The lemon is worth the squeeze ! husky owner for life (and when i say owner i mean they own us ) 😂

Watch out for designer dog breeders or any others. A relative has a beautiful little Papillion X Miniature Aussie Sheperd. She was obviously badly beaten as a pup and tolerates but won't let men touch her. She was picked up by friends living closer to the breeders. My relative then drove to a waypoint to meet the friends and her little new puppy. She then stayed in a hotel overnight on the way home. The puppy was obviously very frightened and aloof.

This video is so full of incorrect info that it's not just bad, it could be damaging. I have had (and groomed) poodles for over 30 years, bred them for 8 years and have been a certified dog trainer. While there are bits of this video that have some truth, these truths are true of some individuals of all breeds and while poodles do align with many traits of the breed (none of which are represented here) they are also very individual. I urge anyone watching this video who is considering getting (or ruling out) a poodle to disregard this video entirely and to do some research from reliable sources. I am appalled at this irresponsible and completely misleading video.

they suck. They're assholes. If they're not raised right, or even if they are raised right, they can be aggressive. Their owners love them, but they are not good dogs. They're loud. They bark a lot. They tend to want to be dominant even over their owners. There are way better dogs out there

My boy now is almost 2 and is mostly quiet also, loves to watch neighbors from our deck, doesn't bark at people coming and going, just the big dogs he sees...He never has marked, easily pad trained, marks on walks only. My lovely departed poodle decided that she need to flush a momma bear out of the den during hybernation. She kept circling the bear and running back to me with a silly smile thinking that she'd done good by flushing this animal. No canines, ursidaes [bears], or humans were harmed during this incident. Incidentally, "High risk: Standard Poodles are classified as a large, deep-chested breed, putting them at significantly higher risk of developing bloat compared to other dog breeds." Ask your vet to perform gastropexy when spaying your poodle.

I have a 7 year old JRT. A lot of energy, absolutely adores toy balls. Very nice to people and kids, I don't agree with that part, its a perfect dog if you have small kids and want them busy playing with your dog. It never gets tired. Very protective and territorial dog, a bit agressive with other male dogs. Hates to be alone. Dont ever get a JRT if you intend to leave him alone for a lot of time. I absolutely love my JRT, best dog in the world, like a son to me ❤

I had a JRT mix. He wasn't super territorial and didn't resource guard nor was he terribly destructive, but nearly everything else about a JRT described him. He was always energetic and even when I got a second dog he used to wear the puppy out and come to me for play. And he was a cuddler, and a lap dog. Not sure what he was mixed with as he looked like a slightly bigger and longer legged JRT. He was super friendly but you had to let him sniff you before he would allow you to pet him, otherwise he'd back away from and bark at you. And when he would get loose...oh my...getting him back cuz he'd stop and let you get almost close enough to grab his collar before darting off again.

I bought my 8 month poodle 5 days ago that wasn't trained properly (never been walked on a leash, never knew her name or commands) but she's been so sweet and quiet. Doesn't really bark at all, falls asleep when I groom her (her fur was matted), she is so good walking on the leash now after the second day and when I took her today for a walk she didn't bark at the dogs, some even tried to say hello to her. She did try to bark at a dog but after calling her (her new name which she knows) she gave me her full attention and followed me. She's walking around the house following us everywhere lol but if we set down on the sofa she just sleeps next to us. She's the sweetest and is already popular with everyone lol.

Never in a million years did I think I would be a Corgi Poppa. I was wrong. My ex asked if I would be OK with us getting a Corgi, as she had a deposit on one for a long time. Wanting her to be happy, I said ok. We picked him out of all the pics/videos and when he was ready, we flew to Colorado to pick him up. When we arrived, a new round of pups had been born a couple weeks earlier. There was one that stood out. So we put a deposit on him. Back to my first. Freddy is amazing and I never thought my best friend would be a Corgi. The ex and called it quits and she moved out of state for work. Corgis pick their person. Freddy picked me and Louie picked her. Back to Freddy. Pembroke Welsh. This dog is both the most annoying and loveable dog I have ever had. Smart? Yep! To smart for his own good. I just wanted to tell a bit of the story of how he went from being born in Colorado, to living in WA. State and being my best friend. I am going to recommend this video to anyone interested in getting a Corgi! It is pretty much spot on.
