Modular homes are the future but if they can come in more sections that mean people can remove extra square feet if they do not need or add more sections for more beds, kitchen, bathroom etc. but should be in their own lots and drive way.

whats the difference between prefab and modular?

you wont be able to take equity out on a manufactured home, refinance yes equity no. and youll have a problem with insurances when having a manufactured home.
